IN THE MATTER OF THE ACQUISITION by the Administrator in Council
of a certain parcel of land at Hopewell in the Parish of Charlotte, for a
public purpose.

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND.
(SECOND PUBLICATION.)

(Gazetted 6th May, 1969.)

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 ol the Land Acquisition Ordinance
1946 (No. 22 of 1946) that if the Administrator in Council considers that any
land should be acquired for a public purpose he may cause a declaration to
that effect to be made:
AND WHEREAS it is considered by the Administrator in Council that the
undermentioned parcel of land should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
the siting of a Public Playing Field and Clinic and approach to same:
Now IT Is HEREBY DECLIARED by His Ionour the Administrator acting in
accordance with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of Saint
Vincent that upon the 2nd Publication of this Declaration in the Gazette all
that parcel of land at Hopewell in the Parish of Charlotte the property of
Gerald Miguel measuring 3 Acres 0 Rood 0.5 Pole shall vest absolutely in the
Crown.

AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER DECLARED AND NOTIFIED that a plan bearing
the Number C 335 showing the above mentioned parcel of land has been prepared
by Karl E. V. John Licensed Land Surveyor and lodged on the 22nd day of
March 1969 at the Lands and Surveys Department of Kingstown in the said
Colony and can be inspected at all reasonable hours at the said Department.

Grenadines for a public purpose.

DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND.

(FIRST PUBLICATION.)

(Gazetted 6th May, 1969.)

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Lanid Acquisition Ordinance
1946 (No. 22 of 1946) that if the Administrator in Council considers that any
land should be acquired for a public purpose hie may cause a declaration to
that effect to be made:

AND WHEREAS it is considered by tle Administrator in Council that the
undermentioned parcels of land should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
the beaching of local fishermen's boats,

Now IT Is HEREBY DECLARED by Ilis Honour the Administrator acting in
accordance with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of Saint
Vincent that upon the 2nd Publication of this Declaration in the Gazette all
those parcels of land at Friendship, Bequia in the Parish of the Grenadines
the property of John D'Arbuckle, Jean Glogowska, and Claude Hazell measuring
4,021 sq. ft., 5,377 sq. ft. and 1,774 sq. ft. respectively shall vest absolutely
in the Crown.

AND IT Is HEREBY FURTIIER DECLARED AND NOTIFIED that a plan bearing
the Number GR 130 showing the above mentioned parcels of land has been
prepared by Karl E. V. John, Licensed Land Surveyor and lodged on the 3rd
day of May, 1969 at the Lands and Surveys Department of Kingstown in the
said Colony and can be inspected at all reasonable hours at the said Department.

It is hereby notified for general in-
formation that a Special Issue of St.
Vincent Postage Stamps commemor-
ating the Methodist Conference 1969
will be released for sale at the General
Post Office Kingstown and District
Post Offices throughout the Territory
on 14th May, 1969.
This Issue is overprinted in gold
blocking by Harrison & Sons Ltd.
with the legend "Methodist Conference
May, 1969" overprinted on the 2, 8 &
35 values of the St. Vincent Autono-
mous Methodist Church Issue, which
was released on 1st December, 1967 and
the 25 value of the current definitive
issue.
This issue commemorates the 1st
Caribbean Methodist Conference held
outside of Antigna the Headquarters.
A First Day Cover service will be in
operation at the General Post Office on
the date 6f release.

URBAN AND RURAL PLANNING

Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for a degree
course in Urban and Rural Planning at
a Canadian University.
This course is dependent on the sue-
cessful completion of certain negotia-
tions, but interested Candidates may
apply-on Form T1-to the Training
Officer, Establishment Office, by Mon-
day May 12th, 1969.


Applicants must possess a minimum
of 5 G.C.E. passe:, 2 of them at Ad-
vanced level in fields i elated to the
academic specialization sought-i.e.,
Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Eco-
nomics, Surveying or Geology. English
Language at 'O' Level is essential.

CLOSE SEASON FOR LOBSTERS
AND TURTLES.

The Public is hereby reminded that
in accordance with the Birds and Fish
Protection Ordinance, Cap. 44 as
amended, it is prohibited to kill or
take:-
TURTLES
(a) Turtles or turtle eggs on land.
(b) Turtles under 20 lbs. in weight.
LOBSTERS
(a) Lobsters carrying eggs.
(b) Lobsters of less than 1 lb in
weight.
(c) Lobsters of less than nine inches
in length.
Closed Seasons:
There is a closed season for Turtles
between 1st May and 31st July, and a
closed ,eason for Lobsters between ist
May and 30th September.
Any person failing to comply with
the regulations mentioned above will
be fined $24.00 or in default imprisoned
with or without hard labour for a term
not exceeding 3 months.
