NOTICE

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES ORDINANCE, 1952.

Pursuant to the requireme its of section 3 (2) of the Aid to Pioneer
Industries Ordinance, 1952 (No. 5 of 1952) it is hereby notified for general
information that the Administrator in Council proposes to make the under-
mentioned Order under section 3 (1) of the said Ordinance.

Any person who objects to the making of such Order shall give notice in
writing of his objections and of the grounds on which he relies in support
thereof to the Clerk of Executive Council on or before the 13th day of May,
1969.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS.

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES (MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRICAL
PRODUCTS) ORDER.

Gazetted 1969.

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Air to Pioneer Industries
(Manufacture of Electrical Products) Order, 1969.

2. Declaration. The establishment, maintenance and operation in, the
Colony of plant for the manufacture of Electrical Products is hereby declared
to be a pioneer industry for the purposes of the Aid to Pioneer Industries
Ordinance, 1952 (No. 5 of 1952) and electrical products so manufactured are
hereby declared to be pioneer products for the said purposes.

Made by the Administrator in Council under section 3 (1) of the Aid
to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952 (No. 5 of 1952) this day of 1969.

INLAND REVENUE NOTICE.

LAND AND HOUSE TAX DEPARTMENT.

Notice is hereby given that the following properties in the ownership or
occupation of the several persons named hereunder are in default of arrears
of taxes levied under the authority of the "Land and House Tax Ordinance".
Pursuant to praecipes issued in accordance with Sec. 46 (1) to (3)-Second
Schedule-for the Pari;h of Charlotte, the said properties having been duly
levied upon will be offered for sale at Public Auction at 10.15 a.m. on Saturday
26th April, 1969 at the Land and House Tax Department (P.W.D. Compound),
Kingstown, for the recovery of taxes due.

DEPARTMENTAL AND
OTHER NOTICES.

VACANT POST OF WARDEN OF
THE KINGSTOWN TOWN BOARD

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
post of Warden of the Kingstown Town
Board.
Salary:
The salary of the post, which is
pensionable, is fixed at $6,960.00 per
annum.


Qualification:
Applicants must have administra-
tive experience. A knowledge of Ac-
counting and Building Construction
will be an asset.

Duties:
(1) The Warden shall be the chief
executive officer of the Board, and
shall perform all such duties as are or
may be conferred and imposed upon
him by order of the Board.
(2) The Warden shall attend the
meetings of the Board and of every
Committee, and shall keep minutes of

the proceedings of every such meet-
ing.
(3) The Warden shall reside in
Kingstown.
Applications which shall be addressed
to the Chairman of the Kingstown Town

It is notified for general information
that all applications for permission to
hold lotteries including Bingo should
now be addressed to the Chief of Police,
Chairman of the Gaming Authority
which has been established under the
provisions of the Gambling, Lotteries
and Betting Ordinance 1968.

EDUCATIONAL

NOTICE.

1. Applications are invited for a
Telecommunications Training Course at
the Philips International Institute of
Technological Studies, EINDHOVEN,
Netherlands. The Course is sponsored by
the Government of the Netherlands.
2. The Studies are at an advanced
level and only candidates with univer-
sity diplomas or the equivalent should
apply. Good results in the examinations
of the first two Semesters may lead to
an invitation from the Institute to stay
for a third Semester, preparing for the
Degree of Master of Electronic Engin-
eering.
3. Travel expenses to and from
Eindhoven are refundable from the In-
ternational Telecommunications Union,
who will also provide a cost of living
allowance. Accommodation and living


expenses will be borne by Philips Inter-
national Institute of Technological Stu-
dies.
4. Applications should be submitted
on Form T 1 to the Training Officer, by
Wednesday 30th April, 1969.

NOTICE


Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons desirous of pursuing
undergraduate studies at Harvard Col-
lege, United States of America.
Harvard College is an undergraduate
liberal arts College for men, affiliated to
Harvard University and offering a four-
year programme leading to the Bachelor
of Arts Degree. The pace at Harvard
is fast, and high standards of perform-
ance are expected.
Mrs. James Gregory Van Buskirk of
the United States of America (now resi-
dent in Bequia) has made an offer to
the Government of St. Vincent, for a
Vincentian to utilise the OWEN BENJA-
MIN HUNTSMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND,
established in 1947 by Mrs. Elizabeth
Van Buskirk Huntsman, "for the bene-
fit of deserving students in Harvard
College."
Although the deadline for admission
has already passed, the Harvard Admis-
sions and Scholarship Committee is
willing to consider a late application
from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Interested persons therefore, should ap-
ply immediately-and not later than
Wednesday April 23rd-on Form T1,
stating the subjects they wish to study
and attaching copies of their certi-
ficate(s).
The minimum qualifications are five
(5) good passes at G.C.E. 'O' Level, in-
cluding English Language; preference
will be given to students of exceptional
ability and promise.
