into a bond with sureties to return to
'St. Vincent at the end of the course of
study oc training.
Applications are invited not only from
officers in the Public Service but also
,from members of the private sector.
Candidates who wish to be considered
for the award of courses must submit
duplicate copies of the prescribed appli-
cation form (T1) which can be obtained
from the Establishment Office, Kings-
town. Applications accompanied by
original or certified true copies of tran-
:scripts of diplomas or certificates should
reach' the Training Officer e/o Estab-
lishment Division, Kingstown not later
than 31st December, 1968.

POSTS

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified pers-ins to fill two (2) vacan-
cies cn the Clerical Staff of the Board.


Qualifications:
(a) 5 G.C.E. "O" Level passes in-
cluding English Language; or
(b) "0" Level pass in English
Language and the ability to type
at the rate of 40 words per
minute.
Appointments will be for a proba-
tionary period of one year in the first
instance.
Salary: The salary attached to (a)
is in the scale $1,392, $1,392/$1,536 x
84--;l1,872 x 96-$2,160 x 120-$2,640.
And in the case of (b) $1,332 x 60-
$1,812.
Persons holding less than the required
qualifications may be considered for ap-
pointment as Clerical Assistants, pro-
vided they are presently engaged in a
programme of study aimed at attaining
a full Certificate within two years.
Applications, giving full particulars
of ago, education, and experience, to-
g'ther with two recent testimonials
should be addressed to the Warden, and
should reach him not later than the 28th
December, 1968.

Statutory Rules and Orders No. 8 of
1963 which reads as follows:-
(9) During the period commencing
on 2nd day of December and
ending on the 24th day of Dec-
ember, 1968, the hours which
shops may be opened for trans-
action of business shall be:-
(a) from six o'clock in the morn-
ing to ten o'clock in the even-
ing on Saturday and on the


working day immediately pre-
ceding Christmas Day.
(b) from six o'clock in the morn-
ing to eight o'clock in the
evening on all other days.
NO SHOP WILL BE OPENED ON
CHRISTMAS DAY.
