OF TUTOR, ERDISTON COLLEGE, BARBADOS.

(a) Applicants should possess a
Degree in Science and have had
teaching experience at Primary and/
or Se'oondary levels.
(hi Special consideration, will be
given to candidates holding a certifi-
cale in Eduation or the equivalent.

The person appointed will be re-
quired to teach General Science to
students who will be teachers of the
subjects in Primary and Comprehen-
sive Schools and to train them in the
Methodology of the subject. He may
also be required to undertake duties
connected with the residential life of
the College.
Appointment:
The appointment may be either on a
permanent and pensionable basis or
on agreement for three years.
(a) Pensionable Officer
Appointment is subject to medi-
cal fitness and a probationary pe-
riod of two years except in the case
of serving officers. Under the
Widows and Children Pension Act,
salary is subject to a deduction of
2% per annum. The officer will be
generally subject to such orders,
rules and regulations as may be in
force from time to time.

(b) Agreement Officer
If the officer on agreement terms
is a contributor to an approved
superannuation scheme, the em-
ployer's share will be paid by this'
government A gratuity of 20'i or
basic salary is payable on the satis-
factory completion of agreement or
annually at the option of the officer.
Salary:
't he salary of the post is in the
scale $6,960 x 240-7,920.
Passages:
Passages of the officer, wife and
children under the age of 20 years up
to a limit of six persons are payable
on first appointment. The officer is
eligible for refund of up to $960
(E.C.C.) in accordance with current
baggage allowance claims which must
be supported by vouchers.
Lcavc:
42 days vacation leave a year of
which 14 must be taken annually or
lost. Maximum accumulation of
leave--126 days. 21 days sick leave a
year.
Lrac Passages:
Leave passages for officer and his
wile up to $1,200 per return passage
per person are payable after a tour
of duty of four years to a place out-
side the Caribbean Area provided
that the officer shall NOT have more
than two passages paid during his
total service and that he spends at
least two months outside the Carib-
bean Area. Savings from leave pas-
sages of the officer and his wife may
be applied to those of his dependent
children if under the age of 20 years.
Leave passages for officer and his
wife up to $380 per return passage
per person are payable after a tour
of duty of four years to a place within
the Caribbean Area provided that he
spends at least six weeks outside this
island.

should be submitted to the Chief Per-
sonnel Officer, Service Commissions De-
partment, "Flodden". Culloden Road,
St. Michael, not later than 23rd Novem-
ber, 1968.

THE AGRICULTURAL AND
CO-OPERATIVE BANK OF
SAINT VINCENT

Applications are invited for suitably
qualified persons resident in Saint
Vincent for each of the undermen-
tioned posts:-


(a) LOANS OFFICER
Duties
Responsible under the direction of
the Manager for Agricultural and
Administrative technical services, in-
eluding pre-loan counselling; review-
ing completed loan submissions; pre-
paring Bank commitments of loan
approval or decline; supervision of the
quality of submissions from the field;
directing and providing instructions
in area of operational and financial
management through staff for assist-
anee to applicants for loans; carrying
out check appraisals and for decisions
and correspondence in a!l matters of
pre-loan and po,4t-loan administration.

Qu alifications
Candidate- must have a good basic
education, at least to Agricutuial
Diploma level (E.C.F.I.) and should
have liad some years of proven success-
ful experience associated with Agri-
cultural Extension Services or the like.
Practical experience in successful farm
operation and management would bN1
an advantage.

Salary
Appointment may be made within
the salary range conimencin'r at
$5,424.00 to a maximum of $6,804.00
per annum depending upon qualifica-
tion a and experience.

(b) ACCOUNTANT
Duties
Responsible for all accounting pro-
cedures :ind practices of the Bank,
including accounting records; main-
taming deposit/current account with
a Commercial Bank; preparing and
issuing all cheques; installment notices
and status of account; receiving all
funds on behalt of the Bank; checking
terms of repayment when taking a first
charge for security of loans; porting
and custody of security documents;
routine collection procedure; Staff ad-
ministrative records; preparing under
direction, the annual budget and Fin-
ancial Report.

Qualifications
Intermediate A.C.C.A. or equivalent
and/or at least five years relevant
experience in Commercial Accounting/
Banking.

Salary
Appointment may be made within
the salary range commencing at
$4.524.00 to a maximum of $5,424.00
per annum depending upon qualifica-
tions.

Qualifications
G.C.E. "0" Level in English Lan-
guage, having minimum proficiency in
typing at 40 w.p.m., and in Shorthand
at 100 w.p.i.

Salary
Appointment may be .lade within
the salary range commencing at
$2,4G0.00 to a maximum of $3,120.00
per annum, depending upon qualifica-
tions-.
If a suitable candidate is not avail-
able, consideration will be given to
filling the position in the Clerk/Typist
range, comineneing at $1,872-00 to a
maximum ol $2,400.00 per annum, de-
pending upon qualifications and sub-
ject to re-cla-sification to Stenographer
when qualifications are met.
A selected candidate for any of the
above positions coming from a pen-
sionable post within the Civil Service,
will be eligible to retain pension and
certain oIlher Civil Service benefits.

The attention of persons who own
the type of vehicles mentioned above
is drawn to the provisions contained
in Regulations 20 and 21 and all
amendments thereto of the Motor
Vehicle. and Road Traffic Regulations
1959. whereby no licence may be issued
or renewed for such vehicles unless
the Inspector certified. that the vehicle
complies with all the provisions of the
Ordinance and of these Regulations.
The Inspector of Motor Vehicles will
be available at Police Headquarters
daily from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. except
on Sunday and on Public Holidays, to
ensure that all the abovementioned
elases of vehicles are inspected and
are roadworthy before 31st January,
1969.
Regulation 20 (6) requires that these
vehicles are examined twice annually,
that is before 30th day of June and
31st day of December in each year.
WARNING
Vehicles which hnve not been pre.
sented for inspection or if presented
have not passed the examination by
31st January, 1969 will be taken off
the road.

1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Law Revision (Prepara-
tion) Order, 1968.

2. Appointment of date in accordance with provisions of section 3 (k) of
Ordinance No. 1 of 1962. The 31st day of December, 1966, is hereby app mnted
the date for the purpose of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Law Revision
Ordinance, 1962 (No. 1 of 1962).

3. Cancellation. The Law Revisicn (Preparation) No. 2 Order, 1963

PARK HILL (DECLARATION OF DISTRICT) ORDER.



(Gazetted 26th November, 1968).


1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Park Hill (Declaration
of District) Order, 1968.

2. Declaration of District. The area comprising the places mentioned
in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared a di trict for the purposes of the
Local Government Ordinance, 1951 (No. 17 of 1951), and shall be known as
the Park Hill District.

IMPORTATION OF GOODS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS.


(Gazetted 26th November, 1968).


1. Short titte. These Regulaticns may be cited as the Importation of
Goods (Amendment) Regulations, 1968, and shall be read as one with the
Importation of Goods Regulations, 1967 (hereinafter referred to as the prin-
cipal Regulations) and all amendments thereto.

2. Amendment of Schedule to principal Regulations. The Schedule to
the principal Regulations is hereby amended by inserting the item "Mango
Chutney" immediately after the item "Ice-Cream".
