the Number C4/36 showing the above mentioned parcel of land has been pre-

OFFICER, INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS BUREAU.
Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for appointment
to the above post.
The salary of the post is in the scale
$5,580 x 240-7,320 x 300-7,920 x 360'
-9,000.
At present the post is a temporary
one but it is proposed to make it per-
manent and pensionable.
The successful candidate will be ex-
pected to undergo a period of training
-possibly overseas of not less than
four to six months-in Industrial
Standards administration. The candi-
date will also be expected to enter into
a Bond to remain in the Government

desirable thi, is not essential;
(c) posse.-s some organising ability
and should be competent in hand-
ling conferences and committees

the East Caribbean Common Market
Secretariat in St. Lucia on a contract

$8,400 flat and a housing allowance of
$480 per annum will be payable if the

Scholarships offered by the Govern-
ment of India

The Government of India is offering
a number of Scholarships for studies in
India to students from the West Indies
under their General Cultural Scholar-
ships Scheme for 1969/70.
The Scholarships cover a wide range
of subjects including Arts and Human-
ities in general; basic Sciences (includ-
ing Home Science, Library Science),
Statistics; Commerce, Agriculture,
Medicine, Law.
Applicants for under-graduate study
should be between the age of 17 and
22 years and should possess Senior
Cambridge/Matriculation (or its equiv-
alent), those for post-graduate courses
should preferably be between 20-25
years with at least a Second Division
Bachelor's Degree.
Further information about these
Scholarships could be obtained from
the Establishment Office, Kingstown,
St. Vincent.
Closing date for applications, which
should be sent to Establishment Office
is 19th October, 1968, at 3.00 p.m.

PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS.



(Gazetted 20th August, 1968.)


1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service
Commission (Amendment) Regulations, 1968, and shall be read as one with
the Public Service Commission Regulations, 1956 (S.R. & 0. 1956, No. 10)
(hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations) and all amendments
thereto.

2. Regulation 7 of principal Regulations revoked and replaced. Regu-
lation 7 of the principal Regulations is hereby revoked and replaced with the
following:-
7. Remuneration of members. 0it of such funds as may be pro-
vided by the Legislative Council to cover expenses of the Commission, the
Chairman or acting Chairman of the Commission, not being a public
officer shall be paid the sum of forty dollars per month in addition to the
sum of fifteen dollars for each meeting which he attends. Every other
member of the Commission, not being a public officer, shall be paid the
sum of fifteen dollars for each meeting which he attends.


Made by the Administrator in Council under section 7 of the Public
Service Commission Ordinance, 1956 (No. 2 :,f 1956) this 9th day of August,
