OF ADMINISTRATOR TO SOUTHERN GRENADINES.
His Honour HYWEL GEORGE, C.M.G., O.B.E., Administrator
of St. Vincent, left the mainland yesterday on an official visit to
the Southern Grenadines.
His Honour expects to return to St. Vincent on 12th June,
10th June, 1968.
In pursuance of authority conferred upon him by the St.
Vincent (Constitution) Order in Council, 1959, His Honour the
Administrator has issued a Conunmmission appointing JONATHAN
VINCENT ALVES, Esquire, Permanent Secretary to the Chief Min-
ister, St. Vincent, to be Administrator's Deputy, St. Vincent, with
effect from 9th June, 1968 and until further notice.
His Honour's Commission is published hereunder for general
10th June, 1968.

BY virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the SAINT VINCENT
(CONSTITUTION) ORDER IN COUNCIL, 1959, I do by this Commission under the
Public Seal of the Island of SAINT VINCENT appoint you the said JONATHAN
VINCENT ALVES, Permanent Secretary to tAe Chief Minister, Saint Vincent, to
be my Deputy within the said SAINT VINCEN T from on or about the 9th day of
June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight and until further orders,
and in that capacity should the necessity arisu for so doing, to exercise, perform
and execute for and on behalE of the Administrator oF SAINT VINCENT during
the period recited, but no longer, all things tiiat belong to the office of Admin-
istrator of SAINT VINCENT according to the tenor of the SAINT VINCENT (CONSTI-
TUTION) ORDER IN COUNCIL, 1959, already recited or in other Orders in Council
adding to, amending or substituting for the same, and subject to the Royal
Instructions and other Instructions passed under the Royal Sign Manual and
Signet to the Administrator of the said SAINT VINCENT.
II. AND I Do HEREBY DIRECT that you the said JONATHAN VINCENT ALVES
shall not continue to act as Administrator 's Deputy after the Administrator
lhas arrived at the mainland 1f 6AINT VINCENT or some other Officer having
prior right to so act or to administer the Government of SAINT VINCENT has
notified that he is about to assume it.
III. AND, I Do HEREBY REQUIRE and command all and singular Her
Majesty's Officers, Civil, Military, Naval, Air and Otherwise, and all others
the inhabitants of the said SAINT VINCENT and all others whom it may concern
to take due notice thereof and to give their ready obedience accordingly.
