concurrently as Consul-General of Bel-
gium for the Islands of Cayman, Turks
and Caicos, St. Vincent and the St. Vin-
cent Grenadines, Montserrat, the Associ-
ated States of St. Lucia, Dominica,
Grenada and the Grenada Grenadines,
St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla and Antigua,
and the British Virgin Islands, with
residence at Caracas.
Pending the issue of Her Majesty
The QUEEN'S Exequatur, this Govern-
ment has accorded Monsieur NiJs
provisional recognition in his consular
capacity.

A competitive examination for the
award of scholarships for boys and girls
tenable at the Grammar School and


Girls' High -School will be held at the
Richknond 1--1 Governmaent School on
Friday. 7th July. 1967.
2. The Scholarships are open to
pupils attending Government or Assist-
ed Primary Schools or Private Schools
which satisfy the requirements of the
Board of Education, and entitle the

3. Candidates must (a) have been
less than 12 years of age on the 31st
July. 1' -. Age must be proved by a
birth certificate or baptismal certificate;
(b) have attended a Government or
Assisted Primary School which satisfies
the requirements of the Board of Edu-
cation, during the twelve months pre-
ceding- the 31st July, 1967 for not less
than 75% of the maximum attendances
possible during such period, as shown
in the attendance Register kept in the
school: (c) furnish a certificate of good
conduct from the Head Teacher or
Head Teachers. of such school or
schools; (d) be natives of the territory
or children of natives or have been resi-
dent in the territory for at least two
years.
4. The Education Officer is em-
powered to accept for examination any
candidate who, through illness has
failed to comply with the requirements
of paragraph 3(b) above, with respect
to .the number of attendances.
5. No scholarship shall be awarded
to any candidate who obtains less than
one third of the possible marks in each
subject and less than one-half of the
total possible marks in the examination.
6. Scholarships are awarded for a
period of not more than six years pro-
vided the Scholar's attendance, conduct
and progress as shown by the term re-
ports are considered satisfactory.
7. Candidates will be examined in
English (including Comprehension) and
Arithmetic, and shall be given an In-
telligence Test.
8. Applications accompanied by Birth
or Baptismal Certificates must reach the

GENERAL ELECTIONS

19TH MAY, 1967

The attention of the general public is
drawn to Section 71 Sub. Sections (1)
(2) and (3) of the Legislative Council
Election Ordinance No. 13 of 1951.
(1) Subject to the provisions of sub-
section (2) of this section during the
hours when the poll is open upon elec-
tion day, no persons shall assemble or
congregate within one hundred yards
of any building in which is situate any
polling station.
(2) This section shall not apply:-
(a) to any electors who are wait-
ing to poll their votes at such
polling station and who obey
any instructions which be
given by the presiding officer
or any constable for purpose
of forming a queue with
other electors also waiting,
or,
(b) to any person who may
under the provisions of Or-
dinance lawfully enter or re-
main in such polling station.
(3) Every person who contravenes or
fails to comply with any of the pro-
visions of this section shall be guilty of
an offence against this section and shall
e be liable on summary conviction there-
y for to a fine of two hundred and forty
dollars or to imprisonment for six

Vehicles & Road Traffic Ordinance,
No. 20 of 1940.

VICTORIA PARK
Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11
a.m. orn Saturday 10th June, 1967 dur-
in- the Parade to celebrate the Birth-
day of Her Majesty the QUEEN, Motor
Vehicles will be admitted to Victoria
Park by way of Peebles Bridge only.

ONE WAY TRAFFIC
A system of One-Way Traffic will be
conformed to on Nr rth River Road
between Grenville Street and Peebles
Bridge. Vehicles travelling along this
route will proceed from South to North
only.
Vehicles entering Victoria Park will
also conform to a system of One-Way
Traffic ; proceeding aniticockwise around
the Park.

MOTOR VEHICLE EXIT
Exit will be by way of Bentinek
Square and Road to Leeward.

PARKING.
Motor Vehicles bearing "Red Stick-
ers" will park on the road outside the
Park enclosure as directed by the Police.
Motor Vehicles bearing "Blue Stick-
ers" will park in the open space in
front of the Colonial Hospital Annexe,
also along Back Street and Fernside.

Information that with effect from 4th
May, 1967, it is an Offence for any per-
son to use, or cause or permit to be used
on a Road, any Scooter or Cart.
Section 3 of the "ROADS (PROHIBI-
TION OF CERTAIN VEHICLES)
ORDER" 1967, Reads:- "No person
shall use or cause or permit to be used
on a road, any Scooter or Cart.
Cart for this purpose does not in-
clude a Hand Cart or a Cart drawn by
a Motor Vehicle or by a Draught
Animal.
Ainy person found acting in contra-
vention of the above-mentioned Section
after 1st day of June, 1967 will be
prosecuted.

Housing Scheme is about to be submitted to the Administrator-in-Council

POLICE (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS.


(Gazetted 16th May, 1967).


1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Amend-
ment) Regulations, 1967, and shall be read as one with the Police Regulations,
1948, (S.R. & 0. 1948, No. 110) (hereinafter referred to as the principal
Regulations) and all amendments thereto.

PORT OFFICERS (HARBOUR) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS.


(Gazetted 16th May, 1967).


1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Port Officers
(Harbour) (Amendment) Regulations, 1967 and shall be read as one with the
Port Officers (Harbour) Regulations, 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the
principal Regulations).
2. Amendment of Regulatiop.. principal Regulations. Regula-
tion 33(e) of the principal Regulati f ereby amended by inserting
immediately before the /ord "hold" the w without the consent in writing
