Under the provisions of sub-sec-
tion (2) of Section 51 of the Saint
Vincent (Constitution) Order in Coun-
cil, 1959, His Honour the Administrator
has been pleased to appoint the under-
mentioned persons as Members of the
Public Service Commsision as from the
1st January 1967, and until the 31st
December, 1967.

VACANCY FOR POST OF COMMISSIONER,
EASTERN CARIBBEAN COMMISSION,
LONDON.
Applications are invited for the post of
Commissioner, Eastern Caribbean Com-
mission, London.
2. The basic salary of the post is
$12,000 per annum. The appointment

will be on contract for a period of three
years in the first instance, and will be
subject to termination on six months'
notice on either side.
3. A gratuity at the rate of 121/%
of basic salary will be payable on the
satisfactory completion of the contract.
4. The officer will be required to
administer Consular services in respect
of the territories forming the West
Indies (Associated States), to promote
the interests of the territories in the
United Kingdom in the fields of trade,
tourism and investment, to attend to the
welfare of migrants and students, and
generally, to project an appropriate
image of the islands served.
5. Living quarters are not provided
but the officer will be paid a House
Allowance at the rate of $2,640 per
annum.
6. Applications on the prescribed
forms, accompanied by two (2) recent
testimonials, should be addressed to the
Executive Secretary, West Indies (As-
sociated States) Council of Ministers,
Bridge Street, Castries, St. Lucia, to
reach him not later than 31st March,
1967. Application forms and further
particulars may be obtained from the
Executive Secretary or from the Secre-
tary, External Affairs, St. Vincent.

EASTERN CARIBBEAN COMMISSION,
MONTREAL, CANADA.

Applications are invited for the post
of Commissioner, Eastern Caribbean
Commission, Montreal, Canada.
2. The basic salary of the post is
$7,920 (Canadian) per annum. The
appointment will be on contract for a
period of three years in the first in-
stance, and will be subject to termina-
tion on six months' notice on either side.
3. A gratuity at the rate of 121/2%
of basic salary will be payable on the

VACANCY FOR POST OF EXECUTIVE
SECRETARY.

Applications are invited for the post
of Executive Secretary to the West In-
dies (Associated States) Council of
Ministers.
2. The salary of the post will be in
the scale $8,400 x 240-$9,600. The
point of entry in this scale will depend
upon the officer's qualifications and ex-
perience.
3. The general conditions of service
of the Officer would be in accordance
with the Civil Service conditions ob-
taining in St. Lucia at present.
4. A House Allowance at the rate of
$600 per annum will be payable to the
officer, provided he is recruited from
outside St. Lucia.


5. The officer will be responsible for
the administration of the Secretariat in
St. Lucia, the administration of services
jointly sponsored by the West Indies
(Associated States), and the perform-
ance of such other duties that may be
assigned to him from time to time by the
West Indies (Associated States) Coun-
cil of Ministers.
6. Applications on the prescribed
forms. accompanied by two (2) recent
testimonials, should be addressed to the
Secretariat, West Indies (Associated
States) Council of Ministers, Bridge
Street, Castries, St. Lucia, to reach that
office not later than 31st March, 1967.

FEBRUARY CRIMINAL ASSIZES

Notice is hereby given that a sitting
of the Supreme Court of the Windward
Islands and Leeward Islands in its
CRIMINAL JURISDICTION will be
held at the Court House, Kingstown on
Tuesday 14th day of February, 1967 at
9.30 o'clock in the forenoon and con-
tinuing. All parties concerned, also
such persons as are bound over by
recognizance to prosecute, answer
charges or give evidence or summoned
as Jurors or witnesses are hereby com-
manded to give their personal attention
and attendance.

INCOME TAX NOTICE-PAYE.

Employees are hereby reminded that
where a declaration on Form TD 1 filed
by an employee with the employer by
whom he is currently employed con-
tains an allowance or allowances which
he would no longer be entitled to claim
on a declaration made after 31st Decem-
ber, 1966, e.g. a child who was under 16
years of age on 1st January, 1966 but
who will not be under that age, nor
receiving full-time instruction at an
educational establishment on 1st Janu-
ary, 1967, a new declaration on Form
TD 1 excluding such allowances, should
be completed and filed with the employ-
er not later than 15th JANUARY, 1967.

assessment in the year 1967 is the 31st
January, and that failure to give notice
of chargeability is an offence against
the Income Tax Ordinance, rendering
the person concerned liable on convic-

HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS.
2. Every person whose income ac-
cruing in, derived from the Colony or
elsewhere and whether received in the

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES ORDINANCE, 1952.

In pursuance of the requirements of section 3 (2) (a) of the Aid to
Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952, it is hereby notified for general information
that the Administrator-in-Council proposes to make the undermentioned
Order under section 3 (1) of the said Ordinance.
Any person who objects to the making of such Order shall give notice in
writing of his objection, and of the grounds on which he relies in support
thereof, to the Clerk of the Executive Council on or before the 23rd day of
January, 1967.

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES (MANUFACTURE OF WIGS AND
OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS) ORDER.

1967).


1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Aid to Pioneer Industries
(Manufacture of Wigs and other Hair Products) Order, 1967.
2. Declaration. The establishment, maintenance and operation in the
Colony of plant for the manufacture of wigs and other hair products is hereby
declared to be a pioneer industry for the purposes of the Aid to Pioneer
Industries Ordinance, 1952, and manufactured wigs and other hair products
are hereby declared to be pioneer products for the said purposes.

Made by the Administrator in Council under section 3 (1) of the Aid to
Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952, (No. 5 of 1952) this

NOTICE.


CALLIAQUA BRIDGE.


It is notified for general information
that certain defects have been discov-
ered in the Calliaqua Bridge, which, if
not remedied quickly, might cause the
bridge to be classified as "dangerous for
usage" and to be closed to pedestrian
and vehicular traffic.


The Ministry for Communications
and Works is arranging for the defects
to be remedied shortly but, in the mean-
time, drivers of all types of vehicles,
should maintain a speed of not more
than five (5) miles per hour when tra-
versing the bridge.
