IN THE MATTER OF THE ACQUISITION by the Administrator in Council
of a certain parcel of land at Langley Park in the Parish of Charlotte
for a public purpose.
NOTICE OF ACQUISITION.
(SECOND PUBLICATION.)
(Gazetted 20th December, 1966.)
WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance 1946
(No. 22 of 1946) that if the Administrator in Council considers that any land

should be acquired for a public purpose he may cause a declaration to that effect
to be made.
AND WHEREAS it was considered by the Administrator in Council that the
undermentioned parcel of land should be acquired for a public purpose, to wit,
the preparation and implementation of a housing scheme to resettle families
from Basin Hole, Mt. Bentinek Bay Road and Orange Hill estates.
AND WHEREAS by declaration published in the Gazette on the 15th and 22nd
days of March, 1966 it was declared that the said parcel of land at Langley
Park in the Parish of Charlotte the property of Basil Balcombe measuring
fifteen acres three roods and twenty poles in area and bounded on the North by
the Basin Hole Housing Scheme on the South and West by the remaining lands
of Basil Balcombe and on the East by the Windward Highway was required for
a public purpose and should vest absolutely in the Crown upon the Second
Publication of the said Declaration to that effect in the Gazette:
AND WHEREAS it was further declared and notified that a plan of the said
land bearing the number C 302 and prepared by C. E. R. Williams, Licensed
Land Surveyor, was lodged for inspection at all reasonable hours at the Lands
and Surveys Department of Kingstown in the Colony of St. Vincent on 15th
day of October, 1965.
Now THIS is to require all persons interested to render to the Authorised
Officer of the said Lands and Surveys Department within thirty days of the
issue of this notice a statement in writing signed by them or their Attorneys
or Agents setting forth the amounts and full particulars of their claim for
compensation in respect of their interest in the land hereinbefore described
distinguishing the alou 1ts iuindr oCpnrate liRnds ,and showing how the amount
claimed under each head is calculated.

VACANT POST OF AIRPORT MANAGER/AIR
TRAFFIC CONTROL OFFICER DOMINICA.

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
post of Airport Manager and Air Traffic
Control Officer, Dominica.
2. The salary is in the scale $4,704 x
180-5,604 x 240-6,324.
3. The post is on the permanent and
pensionable establishment and the ap-
pointment is subject to medical fitness
and a probationary period of two years.
4. Applicants should hold the Gen-
eral Certificate of Education or its equi-
valent.
5. Applicants must have substantial
experience in air traffic control and ap-.
plications shouldd provide details of
training and experience. Preference will
be given to applicants with experience
as Airport Manager, pilot, navigator,
radio operator or airline operations
officer.
6. Further particulars may be ob-
tained from the Chief Secretary, Secre-
tariat. Kingstown, to whom applications
-sould be forwarded nor later than 31st

EDUCATION NOTICE.

Evening classes for Term II, 1966/67
will begin at the Grammar School on
Monday 9th January 1967.
Applications must be made on the
prescribed forms obtainable at the Edu-
cation Department. The completed
forms together with Treasury Receipts
to show that tuition fees for the term
have been paid must be returned to the

FIREARMS LICENCE.

The attention of persons holding fire-
arm Licences is drawn to Section 10 of
the Firearms Ordinance No. 32 of 1956
which reads as follows:-
"Every licence granted under
this Ordinance shall expire on the
thirty-first day of December in
each year."
2. Persons issued with firearm licen-
ces who are unable to licence their fire-
arm shall forthwith surrender the said
firearm to the Chief of Police. (Section
4 of Ordinance No. 32 of 1956 refers.)
3. Persons failing to licence their fire-
arms as required by the Ordinance will
be prosecuted.
