that Remembrance Day will be com-
memorated on Sunday, 13th November,
1966.

PROGRAMME FOR
REMEMBRANCE DAY.

SUNDAY, 13TH NOVEMBER, 1966.

The official commemoration of Re-
membrance Day will take place at the
War Memorial, Market Square, Kings-
town, beginning at 10.45 a.m.
The form of the ceremony will be as
follows:
1. Arrival of His Honour the Ad-
ministrator at 10.57 a.m.
2. At 11.00 a.m. a gun will be fired
from Police Headquarters to indi-
cate the commencement of the two
minutes silence, and another gun
at 11.02 a.m. to denote the termin-
ation of the silence.

Ages Past".
5. Prayers.
6. Laying of Wreaths.
7. Reveille ".
8. National Anthem.
9. His Honour the Administrator
leaves.


All Ex-servicemen should wear their
medals.

Medals held by relatives of deceased
men may be worn by such relatives on
the right breast.
For the purpose of the Ceremony and
the silence to be observed at the War
Memorial, time will be taken by the
Cathedral clock.
All persons are requested to observe
the two minutes silence at 11.00 a.m.
and all vehicular traffic and normal
activities should be suspended during
the silence.

VACANT POST.


VACANT POST OF AIRPORT MANAGER AND
SENIOR Am TRAFFIC CONTROL OFFICER,
ST. VINCENT.

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for appointment to the
post of Airport Manager and Senior Air
Traffic Control Officer, St. Vincent.
2. The salary scale attached to the
post is $4,70 X $180-$5,244 per
annual.
3. The post is pensionable and ap-
pointment will be subject to a proba-
tionary period not exceeding two years
and the production of a Medical Certi-
ficate of Health. The officer will be
subject to the Colonial Regulations,
Local General Orders and Financial
and Store Rules in force in the terri-
tory.
4. Applicants must be not less than
25 years of age and should hold the
General Certificate of Education-or its
equivalent.
5. Applicants must have substantial
experience in air traffic control and
applications should provide details of
training and experience. Applicants
should also have previous experience in
administrative duties. Preference will
be given to applicants with experience
as Airport Manager, Pilot, navigation
radio operator or airline operations
officer.


6. Further particulars may be ob-
tained from the Chief Secretary, Gov-
ernment Office, Kingstown, St. Vincent,
to whom applications should be forward-
ed not later than 24th October, 1966.

above named Appeal Court will be con-
vened at the Court House, Kingstown
on Wednesday 19th day of October 1966
at 9.00 o'clock in the forenoon and con-
tinuing for the purpose of hearing
Magisterial Appeals.
All parties concerned also such per-
sons as are bound over by recognizance
to prosecute Appeals are hereby notified
and are commanded to give their per-
sonal attention and attendance.
The List of all Appeals from Magis-
trate will be posted on the Court's
Notice Board and may be inspected
thereon as from Monday the 17th

THE SALE OF INTOXICATING

Intending applicants for Certificates
of Fitness in respect of the year 1967
under the Liquor Licenses Ordinance
No. 11 of 1948 are hereby reminded
that:-
1. There will be the Annual Licen-
sing Session at
(i) The Court House, Kingstown,
for the Parishes of Saint
Andrew and Saint George.
(ii) The Court House, George-
town, for the Parish of Char-
lotte.
(iii) The Court House, Chateau-
belair, for the Parish of Saint
David
(iv) The Court House, Barrouallie,
for the Parish of Saint
Patrick.
(v) The Court House, Port Eliza-
beth, Bequia, for the Grena-
dines.
(vi) The Court House, Clifton,
Union Island, for the Grena-
dines.
in the month of December, 1966, for the
purpose of considering the grant of
new certificates and renewals in respect
of the year 1967.
2. Applications for New Certificates
should reach the Magistrates' Office,
Kingstown, not later than Monday the
31st day of October, 1966'.
Applications for renewals should
reach the Magistrates' Office in time for
consideration by the Licensing Board
at the Annual Licensing Session in
December, 1966. The time and date
of the several Sessions will be published
in a subsequent notice in the Govern-
ment Gazette. Applications for Re-
newals are subject to a late fee if they


are not received in time for considera-
tion at the Annual Licensing Sessions.
3. Application Forms are obtainable
at the Magistrates' Office Kingstown
and at the several Police Stations.
4. A further notice fixing the dates
of the Sessions in the Parishes men-
tioned above will be published in the
Government Gazette.

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND
FELLOWSHIP
-United Kingdom, Canada. Ghana and India

The Governments of the United King-
dom, Canada, Ghana and India have
invited applications for the award of
Commonwealth Scholarships and Fel-
lowships tenable at Universities in the
United Kingdom, Canada, Ghana and
India to suitable men and women from
the West Indies under their respective
Commonwealth Scholarships and Fel-
lowships Plan 1967/68.
Applicants should not have reached
their 35th birthday by 1st October,
1967, but in special circumstances this
age limit may be raised. Preference
will however be given to candidates be-
tween 22 and 28 years of age.
These scholarships and fellowships
are awarded for advanced study or re-
search and are open to students who
before they take up a scholarship hold
a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from
a recognized University or some equiv-
alent qualification. Under special cir-
cumstances applications may also be
considered for undergraduates if the
programme of study they wish to follow
is not available in their own country.
The Tnited Kingdom awards provide
also for further study and training in
the United King'dom in the broad field
of Medicine.
Awards will normally be made for a
period of two academic years except in
cases where a shorter period is required
to complete the programme for which
the award is granted.
Each scholarship covers expenses for
travel, living and study during its
tenure.
Successful candidates must give an
undertaking to return to St. Vincent at
the end of their scholarship period.

unit Governments in septuplicate, and
on prescribed forms available from the
Training Division of the Ministry of
Finance, Kingstown, St. Vincent, from
which further information on these
scholarships could be obtained. Appli-


cations must be forwarded to the Min-
istry of Finance not later than 4th
November, 1966. Applications that are
incomplete or are not supported by the
required documents will not be enter-
tained.

REPORT OF SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS ON GENERAL ELECTIONS,
1966.

CORRIGENDUM

In the Report of the Supervisor of Elections which was published in the
Gazette dated 4th October, 1966, the total number of ballots cast including
rejected ballots in Polling Station No. 1 of the Electoral District of North
Leeward is given as 369. The total number of ballots cast including rejected
ballots in this Polling Station should read 389.
The error which was due to an oversight in printing is regretted.
