POLICE NOTICES

GENERAL ELECTIONS.

22ND AUGUST, 1966.

The attention of the general public is
drawn to Section 57-subsections (1),
(2) and (3) of the Legislative Council
Elections Ordinance No. 13 of 1951 in
respect of the sale of intoxicating liquors.
(1) No intoxicating liquor shall be
sold, offered for sale or given away, at
any premises to which a licence issued
under the Liquor Licences Ordinance
applies at any time between the open-
ing and the closing of the poll on Poll-
ing Day.
(2) No intoxicating liquor shall be
supplied to any person at any premises
to which a licence issued under the
Registration of Clubs Ordinance applies,
at any time between the opening and
the closing of the poll on Polling Day.
(3) Any person who contravenes any
of the provisions of either of the two
last preceding subsections shall be liable
on Summary conviction to a fine of five

hundred dollars or to imprisonment for
six months.

The attention of the general public is
drawn to Section 71-subsections (1),
(2) and (3) of the Legislative Council
Elections Ordinance No. 13 of 1951.
(1) Subject to the provisions of sub-
section (2) of this section during the
hours when the poll is open upon elec-
tion day, no persons shall assemble or
congregate within one hundred yards of
any building in which is situate any
polling station.
(2) This section shall not apply:-
(a) to any electors who are wait-
ing to poll their votes, at such polling
station and who obey any instructions
which may be given by the presiding
officer or any constable for purpose of
forming a queue with other electors also
waiting; or
(b) to any person who may under
the provisions of this Ordinance lawfully
enter or remain in such polling station.
(3) Every person who contravenes
or fails to comply with any of the pro-
visions of this section shall be liable on
summary conviction thereof to a fine
of two hundred and forty dollars or to
imprisonment for six months or to both
such fines and such imprisonment.

NOTICE is hereby given that an
application was, made on the 21st day
of January, 1966 by CONZINC RIO-
TINTO of., AUSTRALIA LIMITED a
company' incorporated .under the Laws
of .the State of Victoria, of 95 Collins
Street, Me'lbourne, Manufacturers and
Commonwealth' Scientific and Industrial
Research Organisation for a PATENT
in respect of an invention entitled
"PRODUCTION OF ALUMINIUM


AND ALUMINIUM ALLOYS FROM
ALUMINIUM CHLORIDE".
The Patent of this invention was

Lang H'erwig but by virtue of a Deed

BOARD NOTES.

Notice is hereby given that, on and
after Monday, 31st October 1966, cur-
rency notes issued by the Board of
Commissioners of Currency, British
Caribbean Territories (Eastern Group),
commonly known as the British Carib-
bean Currency. Board; shall 'no longer
be legal tender in the territories of the
Governiieiitts'parficipating in the East
Caribbean Currency Agreement 1965,
that is to say: Antigua, Barbados,
Dominica, Montserrat, St. Christopher-
Nevis-Anguilla, St Lucia and St. Vin-
cent.

determined and this Notice is given in
accordance with Article 29(2) of the

In accordance with the provisions of
section 21 of Chapter 194 of the
Revised Laws of Saint Vincent as
amended by section 3 of Ordinance
No. 18 of 1937, it is hereby notified that
the Tax Rolls for each District of the
Colony will, after the 30th day of June,
1966, be available for inspection by the
Public at the Treasury.
In accordance with the provisions of
section 22 of Chapter 194 of the Re-
vised Laws of Saint Vincent the Magis-
trates of the First, Second and Third
Districts will hold Special Sessions for
the purpose of hearing objections to and
appeals from the assessments made by
tile Tax Officers of St. George's Parish
(District 1); Charlotte Parish (Dis-
trict 2); St. Andrew's Parish (District
3); St. Patrick's Parish (District 4);
St. David's Parish (District 5); and
the Grenadines (District 6) as relate to
properties in the First, Second and
I'iird Magisterial Districts.
The Sessions will be held at the fol-
lowing places at 10.00 a.m.
DISTRICT 1: At the Police Station at
Calliaqua on Tuesday the
27th September, 1966.
At the Court House at
Kingstown on Wednesday
the 28th day of Septem-
ber, 1966.
