PRESS RELEASES.

It is notified for general information
that owing to minor repairs to the
Grenadines Mail Passenger Boat "Sea
Hawk" the Motor Vessel "Whistler"
will be supplying this service as from
Wednesday, 8th December and until
further notice.

ST. VINCENT AIR PHOTOGRAPHY.

The Ministry of Overseas Develop-
ment in Great Britain has recently
announced the award of a contract to
Messrs. Fairey Surveys Ltd., for the
air photography of certain Caribbean
territories including St. Vincent. The
work should begin in February 1966.
2. This survey has been requested by
the Minister of Communications and
Works as a preliminary to the physical
planning of the island to be undertaken
by a United Nations expert in the com-
ing year. It will also be used in the
planning of a transinsular road and
other projects requiring larger scales
than those of the existing island maps.


3. The local Land and Surveys De-
partment will be making certain points
on the ground air visible by crosses
made from locally available materials
and laid on the ground. Landowners are
asked to allow the Surveyors entry for
this public purpose and to preserve the
crosses until completion of the opera-
tion in March or April.
4. Landowners of 100 or more acres
who are interested in having their boun-
daries appear on the new maps should
consult the Crown Surveyor.

EDUCATION NOTICE

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP
AND FELLOWSHIP PLAN.

INDIAN AWARDS FOR 1966-67.

The Government of India has invited
application for the award of scholar-
ships and Fellowships tenable in India
to suitable men and women from all
Commonwealth countries.
2. Applicants should not have
reached their 35th birthday on 1st
October, 1966 but preference will be
given to the candidates who are be-
tween 22 and 28 years of age. In
special circumstances the upper age
limit may be raised.
3. The Scholarships are primarily
meant for post-graduate study, and re-
search in any special field. Under-grad-
uate study is also permissible in cases
where particular programmes of study
are not available in a Commonwealth
Country.
4. Awards are normally made for a
period of two Academic years leading
to a University degree or a similar
qualification.
5. Each Scholarship / Fellowship
covers the expenses of travel, living and
study during its tenure.
6. Scholars/Fellows are expected to
return to their own countries at the end
of their post-graduate or research work
in India. Further details may be ob-
tained from the Education Officer.
7. Candidates who wish to be con-
sidered for the award of a scholarship
or Fellowship must submit six copies
of the prescribed application forms duly
completed and supporting documents
to the Training Division, Ministry of
Finance, not later than 15th December,
1965.

Ltd. Filling Station at Arnos Vale for
the sale of Dangerous Petroleum.

carried out on Back Street, the follow-
ing road will be closed to Vehicular
Traffic:-
That portion of Back Street, be-
tween Sharpe Street and James
Street (Forester's Corner).
Vehicles proceeding from Sharpe
Street in this direction will do so by
way of Middle Street, which will be
ONE WAY EAST TO WEST between
Sharpe Street and James Street, until
further notice.

that it is an offence to beat drums or

of the provisions stated above.

INLAND REVENUE DEPARTMENT.

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 49 of the "Land
and House Tax Ordinance" Cap. 194, as amended by Ordinance No. 12 of
1954, the following properties which were sold at auction on 16th and 23rd
October and 20th November, 1965, respectively, for arrears of taxes, will vest
absolutely in the purchasers' names unless the Owners or any other person or
persons having an interest in the properties sold pay into the Treasury the
said purchase price plus Ten Per Centum thereof before the expiration of three
(3) months from the date of sale.
