Official Gazette of 18th November. This
shows that, at the end of October, the
Authority's notes in circulation (first
issued on 6th October) totalled
$17,219,000. 88% of this circulation
was backed by sterling and other ex-
ternal assets and the remainder by
local assets consisting of Government
Debentures.
The Authority's Managing Director
has expressed his appreciation of the
way in which the public have re-
sponded to his request that they should
exchange their old notes quickly and
has asked that those who are still
holding any should hand them in to
the banks as soon as possible.

POLICE NOTICES.

The Owners of Public Service
Vehicles, Goods Vehicles
and Trailers.
(H., H.T., & T. Plates.).

The attention of persons who own
the types of Vehicles mentioned above
is drawn to the provisions contained
in Regulations 20 and 21 and all
amendments thereto of the Motor
Vehicles and Road Traffic Regulations
1959, whereby no licence may be issued
or renewed for such vehicles unless the
Inspector certifies that the vehicle
complies with all the provisions of the
Ordinance and of these Regulations.
The Inspector of Motor Vehicles will
be available at Police Headquarters
daily from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. except
on Sunday and Public Holidays, to
make sure that all the abovementioned
classes of Vehicles are inspected and
are roadworthy before January, 1966.
Regulation 20 (6) requires that
these Vehicles are examined twice
annually, that is before the 30th day
of June and 31st day of December, in
each year.

WARNING.
Vehicles which have not been pre-
sented for inspection or if presented
have not passed the examination by 31st
January, 1966, will be taken off the
road. h "

UNDER THE LIQUOR LICENCES ORDINANCE NO. 11 OF 1948.
