INCOME TAX NOTICE.

To The Ganeral Public.

Every person concerned, not being a
Government Officer, is hereby reminded
that the latest date: for the submission
of Income Tax Returns for assessment
in the year 1963 is the 31st March, and
that failure to give notice of charge-
ability is an offence against the Income
Tax Ordinance, rendering the person
concerned liable to a fine not exceeding
SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY
DOLLARS.
2. EVERY PERSON whose income
accruing in, derived from the Colony
or elsewhere and whether received in
the Colony or not for the preceding
year, exceeded the statutory limit of
$480.00 is required to submit a return
in the prescribed form notwithstand-
ing that on account of approved de-
ductions no tax may eventually be
chargeable, and particular attention
is directed -to the fact that the term
"income" is deemed to include not only
money but also allowances in kind.
3. Efforts are being made to send
forms to such persons. It is to be
clearly understood, however, that the
Income Tax Department is under no
obligation to send a return form to any-
one and that a person is not exonerated
from the statutory liability of making a
return even though a form may not
have been received from the Depart-
ment. Forms niay be obtained, on ap-
plication, at the' Revenue Offices at
Georgetown, Barrouallie, Bequia and
Union Island, or in any other district
from the Police Station situated therein
or from the Income Tax Department,
Kingstown, where any person requir-
ing information in connection therewith
is invited to enquire.
4. The Form correctly completed,
should be accompanied by all nece:;sary
supporting statements. Specimens of
the form of Account required from


- small traders and from occupiers or
i cultivators of land will be supplied on
request.

sion to prepare a Housing Scheme,
on portions of the Ottley Hall and
Ross Castle Estates, situated in the
Parish of St. Andrew and declare
the two parcels of land Housing
Areas.
Section (7) of the Town and Country
Planning Ordinance No. 1 of 1946.

was passed at a meeting of the Central
Housing and Planning Authority held
on the 28th day of February, 1963, is
published for general information.

pare a Scheme under the provision of
Section (7) of the Town and Country
Planning Ordinance No. 1 of 1946 for
Two parcels of land lying in the
Parish of St. Andrew and being por-
tions of the Ross Castle and Ottley
Hall Estates, hereunder described:
1. A parcel of land being portion
of the Ross Castle Estate,
measuring more or less 1 Acre,
1 Rood, 8 poles, and bounded on
the North by the Fort Charlotte
Road, on the East by lands of
Government Quarters, on the
South and West by remaining
lands of the Ross Castle Estate.
2. A parcel of land being a por-
tion of the Ottley Hall Estate
measuring more or less 5 Acres,
3 Roods, 2 Poles and bounded
on the North by Fort Charlotte
Road, on the West by lands of
Ross Castle Estate and lands
reserved by Government as
shown on Plan P4/129, and on
the South and East by lands of
Christopher Banfield.
Plans bearing Nos. A110 and A113
showing the two parcels of land can be
seen at the Office of the Crown -Sur
veyor and at the Office of the Central
Housing and Planning Authority.
