POSTS OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS-
W.I.B.S.

Appointment
Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons to fill vacancies
in the non-pensionable posts of Tech-
nical Assistants, Windward Islands
Broadcasting Service.
Candidates should possess a Diplo-
ma in Radio Technology from a re-
cognised Technical School or Corres-
pondence School, or should have had
not less than two years experience as
a radio technician engaged in the
maintenance of radio transmitters, or
equivalent experience.

Salary
The salary of the post is in the
scale $2,052 x $96-$2,148/$2,292 x
$144-$2,724. The actual point of
entry into the scale will depend upon
the qualifications and experience of
the candidates selected. The appoint-
ment is subject to one year's proba-
tion.


Applications should be addressed to
the Secretary to Government, Grenada,
and should reach him not later than
15th January, 1963.

EDUCATION NOTICE.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC TRAINING
IN CANADA.

Applications are invited for the
award of academic courses in Canada
for the academic year commencing 7th
September, 1963, to suitably qualified
candidates from St. Vincent.
2. Candidates for undergraduate
programmes should have the Senior
Cambridge Certificate or equivalent,
those for the Masters' Degree should
have completed a relevant undergradu-
ate degree course and those for doctor-
ates should have achieved the Masters'
degree in the field of study proposed
for the doctorate.
3. Each Scholarship covers expenses
of transportation, tuition fees, cost of
accommodation and other charges.
4. Candidates will be required to
return to St. Vincent at the end of their
course of study or training.
5. Candidates who wish to be con-
sidered for the award of Courses must
submit four (4) copies of the prescribed
application forms supported with ori-
ginal or Certified true copies of tran-
scripts of marks and syllabi of courses
taken and diplomas received to the Act-
ing Education Officer, Education Office,
not later than 12th January, 1963.
