PosTS OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS--
W.I.B.S.

Appointment
Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons to fill vacancies
in the non-pensionable posts of Tech-
nical Assistants, Windward Islands
Broadcasting Service.
Candidates should possess a Diplo-
ma in Radio Technology from a re-
cognised. Technical School or Corres-
pondence School, or should have had
not less than two years experience as
a 'radio. technician engaged in the
maintenance of radio transmitters, or
equivalent experience.
Salary
The salary of the post is in the
scale $2,052 x +',--2,14V/$2,292 x
$144-*2,724. The actual point of
entry into the scale will depend upon
the qualifications and experience of
the candidates selected. The appoint-
ment is subject to one year's proba-
tion.
Duties
The officers will be normally as-
signed to duties at the main studio
and transmitter station in Grenada,
or at one of the relay sub-stations in
St. Vincent, St. Lucia or Dominica.

The officers will be liable for transfer
within the Windward Islands.
Leave
Vacation leave will be at the rate of
24 days annually, accumulable to a
maximum of 48 days.

and should reach him not later than

LAND SETTLEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
BOARD.

Applications are invited for the post
of "Executive Secretary to the Land
Settleihent and Development Board.
Salary of the post will be fixed be-
tween'$200 to $300 per month depend-
ing on the qualifications and experience
of the successful applicant. The duties
will include travelling to the Land Set-
tlement Estates as often as is required
but not less than once a month to each
estate to check accounts, and a flat trav-
elling allowance of $40 per month will
be paid.
Qualifications required for the post
are a sound knowledge of kook-keeping
and accounting procedures and practise,
anld secretarial and administrative ex-
p rienee is desirable.
The duties of the post are to keep
(e rtain books connected with the estates
i:,'Kgl,~ l i\ n and to coordinate and
supervise the book-keeping on the
est rates. The Executive Secretary will
al.o b, responsible for keepiing records
of meetings of'the Board, for all corres-
pondence in connection with the opera-
tion of the estates, and for ensuring
implementation of the Board's instruc-
tions.

the Deputy-Chairman, Land Settlement
and Development Board, c/o Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Kingstown, and
should reach him not later than 20th
December, 1962.

It is hereby notified that all allow-
ances payable to Pensioners from the
funds of the Colony in respect of the
month of December, 1962, will be paid
at the Treasury, Kingstown, or District
Revenue Offices, on Friday 21st Decem-
ber, 1962.

PAYMENT OF CLAIMS FOR DECEMBER,
1962.

Contractors, Merchants and all other
persons having claims against the Gov-
ernment of St. Vincent are hereby re-
quested to forward such claims to the
Government Departments concerned on
or before the 19th day of December,
1962 in order to ensure the payment
thereof before the close of the current
financial year at 31st December, next.
2. Similarly, all persons indebted to
the Government of St. Vincent for goods
supplied or services rendered are hereby
requested to settle these accounts on or
before the 31st December, 1962.

has been replaced by a further Imperial
Order in Council, 1962 No. 2187 dated
