Department. The post is non-pension-
able. Salary scale $1,032X$72-$1,248

into the scale will depend on the candi-
date's qualifications and experience.

Applications are invited for filling
the post of Superintendent, Lands and
Survey Department, Saint Lucia.
2. The successful candidate will be
required to administer the Lands and
Survey Department; fulfil the functions
of Commissioner of Crown Lands; and
perform such other duties as may be
provided for by law, or as the Adminis-
trator may from time to time direct.
3. Applicants should possess the
R.I.C.S. Diploma, or higher qualifica-
tions, and have at least five years'
practice as a qualified Surveyor with
experience of the operation of a land
office, eadastral surveys, lay-out of
housing schemes, demarcation of Crown
Lands, general engineering and topo-
graphic surveys, handling of personnel.
4. The salary attached to the post
is in the scale $4,680 X 180-$5,040X240
-$5,760/6,000X 240-- 6,720.
5. The successful candidate will be
required to maintain a motor car for
the performance of his duties for which
a transport allowance at an approved
rate will be payable.
6. Free passages will be provided for
the officer and his family on first ap-
pointment and on long leave in accord-
ance with General Orders in force from
time to time.
