THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Under the provisions of the Saint Vincent (Constitution) Order in Council,
1959, His Honour the Administrator has been pleased to appoint the following
gentleman to be a Nominated Member of the Legislative Council of the Colony of
A. C. HADLEY, Esquire.
This gentleman will hold his seat during Her Majesty's pleasure.

OPENING MEETING OF THE NEW LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
The first Meeting of the new Legislative Council of St. Vincent will be held
in the Council Chamber, Kingstown, on Thursday, the 25th May, 1961, com-
mencing at 10 a.m. in the forenoon.
The "Order of the Day" of this Meeting is published with this issue of the

general public, subject to the arrangements for seating accommodation which are
indicated in the following notice:-

NEW LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
OPENING SESSION 25TH MAY, 1961.
The general public is hereby notified that there will be available in the
Council Chamber proper approximately 200 chairs for the accommodation of
members of the public at the opening meeting of the new Legislative Council
on 25th May, 1961.
The first four rows of 90 chairs will be reserved for Heads of Government
Departments, the Clergy, Members of the Kingstown Town Board and other
Municipal Bodies and other persons prominent in the life of the Community.
The remaining chairs and such other sitting accommodation will be available to
persons other than those referred to above.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 45 of the St. Vincent (Constitution)
Order in Council, 1959, that the sessions of the Legislative Council shall be held
at such times and places as the Administrator may appoint by Proclamation
published in the Gazette:
