DEPARTURE OF GOVERNOR ON LEAVE.
With reference to Gazette Notict No. 91 of 15th March, 1955,
I [is Excellency Sir Edward Betham Beetham, K.C.M.G.,
C.V.O., O.B.E., Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Wind-
ward Islands and Lady Beetham departed from the Windward
Islands on 18th March, 1955, for the United Kingdom on leave
prior to assumption of duty as Governor of Trinidad and
Tobago.
19th March, 1955.

ACTING GOVERNOR WINDWARD ISLANDS.
Consequent on the departure of His Excellency Sir Edward
Betham Beetham from the Windward Islands on 18th March
1955, His Honour Wallace Macmillan, Administrator of Gren-
ada, took the prescribed Oaths on that date as Governor and
Conmmander-in-Chief of the Windward Islands under section
8 (1) of the Windward Islands Letters Patent bearing date 27th
August, 1951 and assumed the Administration of the Govern-
ment of the Windward Islands.
