CARIBBEAN COMMISSION.

In. consultation with the Governors
-of the British West Indian Colonies, it
has:been decided to modify the method
of selection of delegates to the West In-
.dian Conference.
The Caribbean Commission Agree-
ment lays it down that delegates to the
Conference sha 1. be appointed in
*accordance with its constitutional pro-
cedure. Hitherto the arrangement has
been that, of the two delegates tr.'im
Each of the British Colonies concerned,
-one is an unofficial chosen by the local


Legislature and the other an official
nominated by the Governor.
It has now been agreed that the selec-
tion of delegates should be made by the
local Legislatures. In the case of the
Wind ward Islands, t h e Legislative
Councils of Grenada, St. Vincent, St.
Lucia and Dominica will be invited to
select two persons each; and from the
names submitted, the Governor will
make the final selection of two delegates
to represent the Windward Islands.

VETERINARY NOTICE.

CATTLE DIPS AND SIMILAR PREPA-
RATIONS-A CAUTION.

A case has occurred recently in which
a stockowner in St. Vincent dressed his
cattle for ticks with a cattle dip contiin-
ing poisonous ingredients. He has lost
several animals owing to misuse of the
preparation. Stockowners should be
careful to follow exactly the directions
of the makers of such preparations. -If'
directions on a container are not legible,
a copy should be studied. It is advisable
also for suppliers to ensure that direct-
ions on containers sn applied to the publicc
are legible. Supplier's might be able to
keep a reserve supply of the appropriate
labels.

Montreal, Cainada not lat r than the 2nd
day of each month preceding that in
which the Flour is to be shipped.


The Grade of Flour required will be
Canadian Hard Spring Wheat "E" Grade
according to the following specifications :
Minimum Protein content 13. 5*j
Maximum Ash counent 0 o
Maximum Moisture content 14*
Minimum gassing power -475 mm.
Packing in heavy cotton bags.
Prices quoted must be F.A.S. Mon-
treal and must exolnde Agents Commis-
sion which will be paid in St. Vincent
by arrangement. The B.W.I. Trade
Commissioner who will purchase Flour
on behalf of St. Vincent reserves the
right to arrange for samples to be drwvn
at the port of loading for purposes of
analysis. He does not bind himself to
purchase flour at the lowest or apy
quotation.
Local Agents representing Suppliers
of Flour interested in the St. Vincent
business are requested to submit the
names and addresses of their Principals
immediately to the Controller of
Supplies, St. Vincent.

Under the authority of THE LOAN OR-
DINANCE, 1948, applications are invited
for the issue of Debentures to raise the7
second loan instalment in connection
with the above scheme in the sum of
FIFTY SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUN-
DRED DOLLARS ($57,600.00).
The respective Debentures proposed
are as hereunder -

The loan will bear interest at 3V,2%
payable half yearly and will be extin-


guishable in 25 years from date of issue.

The Governor in Council will allot
Debentures by the system of drawing of
lots. If for any denomination of Deben-
ture there should be more applicants
than the numbers respectively proposed

one Debenture. If there should be less
than these numbers respectively, after
all applicants have been satisfied by the
allotment of one Debenture the remain-
ing Debentures will be allotted in pro-
portion to the number for which applica-
tion has been made.

1. Short title. This Notice may be cited as the Prices Control
(Anmendmenat No. 15) Notice.
2. Amendment. The prices- set out hereunder are .the Maximum prices
