BY THE ACTING GOVERNOR OF
THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.

A PROCLAMATION.
P. D. MACDONALD,
Acting Governor.

WHEREAS by section 34 of the
Virgin Islands Constitution Act, 1950
(No. 1/1950) it is provided that the
said Act shall, save as otherwise
expressly provided by the said Act,
come into operation on such day
as the Governor may appoint by
Proclamation published in the
Gazette.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PATRICK
DONALD MACDONALD, Acting Gov-
ernor and Commiander in Chief in
and over the Colony of the Leeward
Islands and Vice Admiral of the
same, do by this my Proclamation
declare that the said Act shall come
into operation on the 10th day of
August, 1950.

AND all His Majesty's loving sub-
jects in the said Colony and all
others whom it may concern are
hereby required to take due notice
hereof and to give their ready obedi-
ence accordingly.

GIVEN at the Government House,
Antigua, this 9th day of August,
1950, and in the fourteenth year
of His Majesty's reign.

Ordinance, 1950, it is provided that
the said Ordinance shall come into
operation on such day as the Governor
may appoint by Proclamation pub-
lished in the Gazette.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PATRICK
DONALD MACDONALD, Acting Gov-
ernor and Commander in Chief in
and over the Colony of the Leeward
Islands and Vice Admiral of the same,
do by this my Proclamation declare
that the said Ordinance shall come
into operation on the 10th day of
August, 1950.


AND all His Majesty's loving sub-
jects in the Presidency of the Virgin
Islands and all others whom it may
concern are hereby required to take
due notice hereof and to give their
ready obedience accordingly.

GIVEN at the Government House,
Antigua, this 9th day of August,
1950, and in the fourteenth year
of His Majesty's reign.

Virgin Islands Voters Registration
and Election Ordinance, 1950
(No. 3/1950) to appoint Mr. MACWEL-
LING TODMAN, Principal (Adminis-
trative Assistant) Virgin Islands, to
be Registering Officer for that Presi-
dency in respect of the registration
of voters. Aug. 9


The Acting Governor has been
pleased under section 2 (1) of the
Virgin Islands Voters Registration
and Election Ordinance, 1950
(No. 3/1950) to appoint Mr. MAC
WELLING TODMAN, Principal (Ad-
ministrative Assistant) Virgin Islands,
to be Returning Officer for that Presi-
dency in respect of the first general
election to be held under the said
Ordinance. Aug. 9
