information that a meeting of the
General Legislative Council of the
Leeward Islands will be held on
Tuesday the 11th July, 1950, at 10
o'clock a.m. at the Court House, St.
John's, Antigua.
Members of the Public are invited
attend.

The Acting Governor has been
pleased to appoint the Hon. R. E.
HENRY as an Official Member of the
Executive Council of Antigua for the
period 10th June to 15th December.

It is hereby notified that His
Excellency the Acting Governor has
been pleased to appoint Dr. W. B. R.
JONES to be a Lieutenant-Surgeon in
the Montserrat Defence Force with
seniority from the 15th day of June,
1950.

Notice of Election and Situa-
tion of Polling Booths.


In pursuance of Section 47 of the
Montserrat Constitution Ordinance,
1936, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that an Election will be held on
Fri(tay. the 30th day of June, 1950,
between the hours of ten o'clock in
the forenoon and four o'clock in the
afternoon, for the purpose of electing
one member to serve on the Legislative
Council of the Presidency of Mont-
serrat.
The Central Polling Booth will be
situated at the Court House, Plymouth,
Montserrat, and additional polling
booths will be opened at:-
The Police Station, Harris;

The Police Station, Cudjoe Head;
and

The Health Centre, St. John's.

Windward Islands and
Leeward Islands.

NOTICE is hereby given that in
pursuance of rules made by the Chief
Justice under Section 16 of the
Windward Islands and Leeward Is-
lands (Courts) Order-in-Council, 1939,
and duly approved as therein pro-
vided on the 16th day of October,
A.D. 1941, His Honour the Puisne
Judge selected for the sittings of the
Court in Antigua, Saint Christopher,
Nevis and Virgin Islands Circuits
has appointed the day of the month
on which the ensuing Circuit should
sit as follows; that is to say:-
The Saint Christopher Circuit on
Tuesday the 4th day of July, 1950,
at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.
