WHEREAS it is enacted by section 30 o' the Dom-
inica (Legislative Council) Order in Council, 195L, that
the Governor may at any time by Proclamation sum-
mon, prorogue or dissolve the Legislative Council.
AN) WHEREAS it is expedient that the Legisla-
tive Council of Dominica should be prorogued.
NOW, THEREFORE, I do hereby prorogue the
said Council from Monday the 23rd day of November,
1953, until Tuesday the fifteenth day of December, 1953,
Sand members of the said Council are hereby commanded
to give their attendance at 10 of. the clock in

the forenoon on the said day at the Council Chamber
in the town of Roseau in the Colony of Dominica for
the despatch of public business.
AND the members of the said Legislative Council
and all other Her Majesty's Officers and loving subjects
in the said Colony and all others to whom it may concern,
are hereby required to take due notice hereof, and to
give their ready obedience accordingly.
: GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the
Colony of Dominica, at Government House in
the said Colony, this 18th day of November, One
thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, and in
the second year of the Reign of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth the Second.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. 30 OF 1953-
APPOINTING WEDNESDAY, THE 25TH NOVEMBER, 1953, TO BE A
(Gazetted 18th November, 1953).
BY THE GOVERNOR,
I, considering that it is desirable that Wednesday, the 25th
day of November, 1953, should be observed as a Bank Holiday in
the Colony of Dominica and in pursuance of the provisions of the
Bank Holidays Act (Cap. 114) do hereby, by and with the advice
of the Executive Council of the said Colony, and in exercise of the
powers conferred by the A.t aforesaid, appoint Wednesday, the
25th day of November, 1953, as a special day to be reserved as a
Bank Holiday in the said Colony, under and in accordance with
the said Act, and I do by this my Proclamation command the said
day to be so reserved and kept, and all Her Majesty's loving
subjects in the said Colony to ordir themselves accordingly.
GIVEN at GovernLnent House, Dominica, this 12th day of
November, 1953, and in the second yearof Her Majesty's
