To all persons claiming an interest in the lands and tenements hereinafter described.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear to Us that the Stonehill Estate situate
in the Parish of St. Joseph irn the Island of Dominica, containing 200 acres 1 rood is
unoccupied since 1914, and there is no person having title thereto, whereby the
said parcel of land ought to be vested in Us, that proceedings will be taken to
have the said parcel of land vested in Us at a sitting of the Supreme Court to be
holden at Roseau in the Colony of Dominica in the month cf Aprl, 1953.
All persons claiming an interest in such land, shall within one week from the
date of the last publication of this summons in the Gazette (such summons shall be
published during a period of six months) file an appearance, either in person, or by
Solicitor in the office of the Registrar, and shall, within one month from the date of
such appearance, lodge in the said office a written claim containing a statement
of the reasons on which the same is founded: and you are hereby further warned
that if you fail to appear at the said Court to be holden as aforesaid the said pro-
eedings will be heard and taken without you.

of 2,400 tons Her armament consists of

submarine and close range weapons. She
was launched in November, 1944 and com-
pleted in July 1945
In July, 148(. .I.M.S. Biglbvey Ae'y joined
the America and West Indies Squadron
based on Bermuda. In IMay. 1950, bhe re-
turned to the United Kingdtom for the first
time since 1945 After refitting she re-
joined the America ar.d West Indies
Squadron in October 1950. returning to
the United Kingdom to join the Home
Fleet in October, 1951. She was detached
from the Home Fleet for further service
on the America and West Indies Station in
October, 1952. H.M.S. Bigbhrty Buy provid-
ed relief to the island of Jamaica after the
hurricane in August 1951.

have to comply strictly in future with
the conditions laid down before actual
distribution is made. Considerable
pressure is brought to bear on the
Department for cuttings and recent
inspections have shown that these
cuttings have not always been given
the conditions they require.
2. In future the site for planting
will have to be first approved by an
officer of the Department who will
visit on request, and in addition, the
ground shade will have to be satisfac-
tory as well as protection from wind.
Satisfactory Drainage, and where
necessary or desirable, Soil Conserva-
tion Measures will be insisted on.

1952 EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ORD
ORDINANCE NO. OF 1952.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND FURTHER THE'
EDUCATION ORDINANCE, 1949.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of Dominica
as follows :-
-1. This Ordinance may be cited as the
EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1952,
and shall be read as one with the Education Ordinance, Ord. No.
1949, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the.prin- 3/1949
cipal Ordinance). 17/1950
2. Subsections (1) and (2) of 'section 4 of the
principal Ordinance are hereby repealed and in place
thereof the following shall be substituted -
4 (1) There shall be established a Board to Establish-
