CELEBRATION IN MARTINIQUE
TO MARK 50TH ANNIVERSARY
ERUPTION OF MT. PELEE
THE Acting Administrator has been in-
formed that the fiftieth anniversary of
the eruption of Mt Pelee will be celebra-
ted with due ceremony in Martinique from
8th May to 11th May inclusive.


It is understood that the ruins of Saint
Pierre, seen of the disaster, have been
partly raised largely due to the determina-
tion andenterprise of the inhabitants of
the area. The festivities will therefore be
centred around the ancient city of St.
Pierre.

Puisne Judge assigned to the Dominica Cir-
cuit has appointed Tuesday the 20th day of
May, 1952, at the hoor of ten o'clock
in the forenoon and subsequent days for
an adjourned sitting of the Court in its
Criminal Jurisdiction at the Court House at
