DOMINICA

STATUTORY RULES & ORDERS NO. 47 OF 1951.

ORDER MADE BY THE GOVERNOR UNDER ARTICLE 10 OF
THE LETTERS PATENT DATED THE 27TH DAY OF
AUGUST, 1951.
(Gazetted 14th November, 1951)
WHEREAS it is provided by Article 10 of the Let.
ters Patent dated the 27th day of August, 1951, that the
Executive Council established for each Island by the
Letters Patent dated the 13th day of November, 1936,
as amended by the Letters Patent dated the 8th day of
December, 1939, and the 11th day of May, 1945, and con-
stituted in accordance with the Instructions dated the
9th day of April, 1924, as amended by the Instructions
of the 13th day of November, 1936, the 28th day of De-
cember, 1939, and the 11th day of May, 1945, shall con-
tinue to be the Executive Council of that Island until
such day as the Governor shall by Order under his hand
appoint.
NOW, THEREFORE, I do hereby Order that the
said Executive Council established for the island of
Dominica shall cease to be the Executive Council of the
said Island of Dominica from Thursday the 22nd day of
November, 1951.
GIVEN under my hand this 20th day of October,
1951.

A PROCLAMATION.

(Gazetted 14th November, 1951.)

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 29 of the Domi-
nica (Legislative Council) Order in Council, 1951, that
the sessions of the Legislative Council shall be held at
such times and places as the Administrator shall from
time to time appoint by Proclamation.
AND WHEREAS I think it expedient that there
shall be a session of the Legislative Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, I do by this my Proclamation
summon the said Legislative Council to meet at the
Court House, in the town of Roseau, in the Colony of
Dominica, on Friday, the 23rd day of November, 1951,
at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon, for the despatch of pub-
lic business
AND the members of the said Legislative Council
and all other His Majesty's Officers, Ministers and loving
subjects in the said Colony, and all others whom it may
concern, are hereby required to take due notice hereof,
and to give their ready obedience accordingly.
GIVEN under my hand at the Government Office,
Dominica, this 13th day of November, 1951,
and in the fifteenth year of His Majesty's
Reign.
