Central Housing and Planning
Second Supplementary Goodwill
THE Central Housing and Planning
Authority offers for rental, lots in that
portion of the. Goodwill area defined in
the Second Supplementary Scheme
A copy of the scheme and plan may be
seen and further information obtained at
the offices of the Roseau Town Council or
the Senior Medical Officer between the
hours of 10 am. and 1 p m. Monday to
Friday inclusive. The site has been sur-
veyed and the lots are marked and num-
These lots are available for immediate
occupancy on a yearly tenancy at a rental
of 1 per annum payable in advance.
The purpose of the proposed develop-
ment is to provide adequate housing sites
for persons who are not in a position to
comply with building requirements in the
original Housing area of Goodwill as set
out in the First Supplmese*tary-SofeBne.
It is specially planned for the relief of
conditions in the slum areas of Roseau.
House-holders who have been or may be
evicted from sites in such areas and who
are unable to find satisfactory alternative
sites will be given priority.
As the scheme is essentially a slum
clearance measure the Central Authority
reserves the right to grant priority of
tenancy to any applicant or to refuse any
application in its absolute discretion and
is not bound to rent any or all of the lots
shown in the plan.
Applications for lots should be in writing
and be addressed to the Secretary, Central
Housing and Planning Authority, Office
of the Senior Medical Officer, Roseau.
30th March, 1951.
Central Housing and Planning
PERSONS interested in acquiring build-
ing lots in the Goodwill Housing Area
under the First Supplementary Goodwill
Scheme are advised that the Central
Authority expects to be able to make lots
in this area available at an early date.
The Central Authority will inform the
public by due notice in the press when
these lets become available and regrets
that, in the meantime, it is not possible to
consider applications for such lots,
Lots now being advertised for rental
under the Second Supplementary Goodwill
Scheme are not in the Goodwill Housing
Area as originally planned and are offered
to meet a specific emergency. Acceptance
of tenants will be limited to the special
classes designated in the notice.
It will assist the Central Authority
greatly if members of the public not fall.
