DECLARATION OF APPROVED EXPORT
MANUFACTURER (KELVIN COMPANY LIMITED 4'
(WIRE WOUND RESISTORS) ORDER, 1969
The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 4 of the Industrial Development
(Export Industries) Act, 1963 hereby makes the fol-
lowing Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Declaration of
Approved Export Manufacturer (Kelvin Company Limited)
(Wire Wound Resistors) Order, 1969.
2. Kelvin Company Limited a Company registered
under the Companies Act, 1910, is hereby declared
to be an approved export manufacturer for the pur-
poses of the Industrial Development (Export Indus-
tries) Act, 1963, in relation to a factory situated at
Newton Industrial Park, in the parish of Christ
Church and to the products of manufacture, namely,
wire wound resistors, which were declared to be ap-
proved export products by the Export Industry (Elec-
tronic Devices and Components) Order, 1968.
3. The date on which production of the approved
export product is deemed to begin at the factory
aforesaid for the purposes of the Act is hereby de-
clared to be 1st January, 1970.

The Barbados Harbours Act, 1960 (Act 1960-29)

THE TARIFF BOOK( AMENDMENT),,1969
Prepared and published under section 20 of the
Barbados Harbours Act, 1960

1. Clause XV of the Tariff Book of the Barbados
Port Department is amended as follows -
Amendment of (a) by substituting the words "sub-paragraphs
Clause XV of
Tariff Book. (ia) and (iv) for the words "sub-paragraph
(ia)" in sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a)
thereof;

(b) by substituting for sub-paragraph (iv) the
following new sub-paragraph-

"(iv) The handling charge on all refrigerated
produce shall be $17.20 per ton or
part thereof and the payment of such
charge shall entitle the consignee
or owner of such produce to have
such produce deposited in an approved
warehouse and stored therein for a
period not exceeding 120 hours with-
out payment of any further charge to
the owner or occupier of the ware-
house".

(c) by deleting from paragraph (f) the words
"Wharfage and handling in and out...$8.50
B/L Ton" and substituting therefore the
following -

"Wharfage and handling in and out-

(a) in the case of cargoes other than
refrigerated cargoes...................$8.50

(b) in the case of the refrigerated cargoes
the charge shall be $19.70 per ton or
part thereof and the payment of such
charge shall entitle the agent for such
cargo to have such cargo deposited in
an approved warehouse and stored there-
in for a period not exceeding 120 hours
without payment of any further charge
to the owner or occupier of such ware-
house.


2. Clause XX of the Tariff Book of the Barbados
Port Department is amended by substituting the words
"$5" for the words "$1" appearing therein.

3. These amendments shall come into operation
on such day as the Minister may appoint by notice in
the Official Gazette.

Notice under Paragraph 3.
The Minister pursuant to the provisions of paragraph
3 of the Tariff Book (Amendment) 1969 hereby appoints
the 16th January, 1969 as the date on which paragraph
2 of that Amendment shall come into operation.

The Barbados Harbours Act, 1960
(1960-29)
THE BAR BADOS HARBOURS (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 1969
The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 53 of the Barbados Harbours Act,
1960 hereby makes the following regulations -
1. These regulations may be cited as the Barba-
dos Harbours (Amendment) Regulations, 1969.
2. Regulation 34A of the Barbados Harbours
Regulations, 1961, hereinafter referred to as the L.N. 14of 1961
principal Regulations, is hereby amended by deleting
paragraph (b) thereof and substituting the following
paragraph -

"(b) in the case of a ship of or exceeding-
(i) ten thousand tons net registered ton-
nage; or
(ii) six hundred feet in length engage the
services of two tugs."

3. The principal regulations are hereby amended
by inserting immediately after regulation 162 thereof
the following regulation as regulation 162A -

"Refrigerated 162A.(A) No imported refrigerated
orgo. goods shall be delivered direct ex
ship to the consignee or owner thereof.
(2) All such goods which are
accepted by or delivered to the Port
Department shall be deposited by or
on behalf of the Port Department in an
approved warehouse.

(3) For the purposes of this
regulation "approved warehouse"
means any warehouse approved by the
Comptroller of Customs and the Port
Manager and equipped with such facili-
ties for cold storage as may be provided
for under any agreement which the Min-
ister, pursuant to section 7 (d) (ii) of the
Act, may enter into with the owner
or occupier of such warehouse."
4. Regulation 2 of the Barbados Harbours (Amend-
ment) Regulations, 1968, shall have effect and shall
be deemed always to have had effect as if the figures
"1961" were substituted for the figures "1960" ap-
pearing in the second line thereof.

5. Regulation 3 shall come into operation on such
day as the Minister may appoint by notice published
in the Official Gazette.

CUSTOMS ACT, 1962

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 hereby
makes the following order:-

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties
(Space Research Institute Incorporated ) Order, .1969.

2. Part III of the First Schedule to the Customs
Act, 1962, is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following new item :-

equipment including vehicles,
other than such items as the Minis-
ter may for the purposes of this
