THE INDUSTRIAL INCENTIVES ACT, 1963

(Section 6)

NOTICE

The Honourable Prime Minister and Min-
ister of Finance pursuant to Section 6 of the
Industrial Incentives Act, 1963, hereby gives
notice thathe is about to be asked to consider
whether for the purposes of the abovemen-
tioned Act, Polyurethene Foam Products
should be approved products.

Any person interested in the manufacture
or importation of Polyurethene Foam Pro-

ducts who objects to these products being
declared approved products for the pur-
poses of the Industrial Incentives Act, 1963,
should forward to the Director (Ag.) Econo-
mic Planning Unit, Office of the Prime Minis-


ter and a copy to the Manager, Barbados
Development Board to reach him on or before
Monday 20th January 1969 a statement in
writing setting forth the grounds of his ob-
jection.

ing the Estate of Julia Harriette MacKinnon
late of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, who
died on the 10th day of April 1944 are hereby
requested to send in particulars of their claims
duly attested to the undersigned C/0 Messrs
Carrington & Sealy, Lucas Street, Bridge-
town, Barbados, on or before the 31st day of
January 1969; after which date Ishall proceed
to distribute the assets thereof among the
parties entitled thereto having regard to the
debts and claims of which I shall then have

the assets so distributed to any person of
whose debt or claim I shall not have had no-
tice at the time of such distribution, and all
persons indebted to the said Estate are re-
quested to settle their accounts without delay.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1958



Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 178 of the Local
Government Act, 1958, that Trade Returns are required from all companies
whether incorporated or unincorporated, societies, trust, partnerships or per-
sons engaged in any trade setting forth the profits or gains from any such
trade carried on within any Rating Area during the year 1968.

Forms of returns may be obtained from the Department of Inland
Revenue, Treasury Building, Bridge Street, and the forms duly filled in must

VACANCY FOR LIBRARIAN


Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment
to the post of LIBRARIAN in the Commonwealth Caribbean Regional Secretar-
iat, Georgetown, Guyana.



Applicants must be professionally qualified librarians with experience in
all aspects of library work.



The salary scale attached to the post of LIBRARIAN is $6,240 per annum
rising by annual increments of $240 to $7,200 per annum and the point of entry
in the scale will depend on the qualification and experience of the person se-
lected. A house allowance of $2,400 per annum will be paid.



Secretariat staff will not be required to pay income tax to the Govern-
ment of Guyana. They will, however, be required to make payments monthly
to a Staff Assessment Scheme. This assessment will be computed on the basis
of gross salary, excluding allowances.



Applications (three copies) giving age, qualifications and details of past
experience should be addressed to the Secretary-General, Commonwealth
Caribbean Regional Secretariat, 205, Camp Street, Georgetown, Guyana, to

TAKE NOTICE








THAT Trinidad Textile Manufacturing Com-
pany Limited a company incorporated with limited
liability in the Island of Trinidad and having its
registered office situate at Brooklyn Estate in the
Town of Arima in the Island of Trinidad being
the Registered Proprietors of the Trade Mark No.
3433 MUSTANG & DEVICE registered in Part
"A" of the Register of Trade Marks on the 23rd
February, 1967 have applied to add to or alter as
the case may be the said Trade Mark in certain
particulars, to wit:
(a) That the word MUSTANG be written as
shown on the above representation of
the mark;
and will be entitled to do so after one month from
the 9th day of January 1969, unless some person
shall in the meantime give notice of opposition to
such addition or alteration.

The Trade Mark as it presently appears and

REGULATIONS, 1968
The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 30 of the Post Office Act, 1911
hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Parcel
Post (Rates) (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.
2. The Second Schedule to the Parcel Post (Rates)
Regulations, 1960 is hereby amended by inserting
therein in the appropriate alphabetical order and under
the appropriate headings the following words -
"Bermuda............50 cents per 1'2 lb.. or part
thereof.''

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 70 of the Post Office Act, 1911
hereby makes the following regulations -

1. These regulations may be cited as the Letter
Carrier (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.

2. Regulation 2 of the Letter Carrier Regulations,
194- is hereby amended by deleting paragraph (a)
thereof and substituting the following -

"(a) Letter Carriers shall attend for duty -

(i) at the General Post Office as fol-
lows:-

POST OFFICE (DEPARTMENTAL) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 1968
The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 70 of the Post Office Act, 1911
hereby makes the following regulations:-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Post
Office (Departmental) (Amendment) Regulations,
1968.
2. The regulations purporting to have been made
under section 69 of the Post Office Act, 1911 and
appearing at pages 120 to 131 inclusive of the volume
of Regulations and Bye-Laws of this Island to 31st
December, 1913, hereinafter referred to as the princi-
pal Regulations, may be cited as the Post Office
(Departmental) Regulations, 1912.

3. Regulation 124 of the principal Regulations
is hereby revoked and the following regulation sub-
stituted therefore -
"124. The hours for closing the mails at
the General Post Office shall be as follows:-
(a) daily except on Saturdays, Sundays and
public holidays -

(i) City and Suburban Deliveries from the
G.P.O.
for the 1st delivery .. 9.00 a.m.
for the 2nd delivery .. 1.00 p.m.

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred
on him by section 242 of the Customs Act, 1962 hereby
makes the following regulations -

1. These regulations may be cited as the Customs
(Amendment) Regulations, 1968.
2. Regulation 164 of the Customs Regulations,
1963 is hereby amended by inserting immediately after
paragraph (3) thereof the following paragraphs (4) and
(5)-

(4) The Comptroller may require any
member of the staff of the Department
of Customs and Excise-

(a) to attend forduty outside the work.
