THE ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT
( chapter 254)
WHEREAS by Notice No. 206 dated the 15th September,
1962, and published in the Official Gazette dated the 15th Sep-
tember, 1962, the Governor in-,Cuncil on behalf of The Promoters
The Public Board of Works for Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera,
declared that it was his intention to :acquire the land described
in the Schedule hereto
AND WHEREAS payment has been made to the rightful
claimants to:the property described in the Schedule hereto.
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby notified that the selected
land has been appropriated by the Promoters for the[putpose
mentioned in, the said. notice with effect from the date of this
notice.

All those two (2), pieces parcels or tracts of land situate in
the Settlement of Governor's Harbour in the Island of Eleuthera,
one of the Bahama Islands, as shown on a plan or diagram on
file in Seiretariat Minute'Paper No. 11207 at 36A, which by this
reference js made apart thereof, and more particularly described
as follows:

All that piece parcel or tract of land described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the western side of the Main
Eleuthera Road approximately Three hundred and Eighty-three
and Seventy-two hundredths (383.72) feet southwardly 'of its, junc-
tion with Haynes Avenue and running from the said point in a
direction of 520 18' west of true north for a distance of One hun-
dred and Forty-six and Eighty-six hundredths '(146.88) feet and

Bahamas Government, thence in a direction of 240 13' west of
true south for a distance of Three hundred and Eighty-one and
.Seventy-two hundredths (381.72) feet and being bounded thereon

thence in a direction of 69 39'east of true' soith for a distance of
One hundred and Forty and Seventeen hundredths (140.17) feet
and being bounded thereon by a road reservation Twenty (20)
febt wide separating it from land said to be the property of W. B.
Griffin thence in a direction of 240 42' east 'of north for a dis-
tance of Three hundred and Thirty-eight (338.00) feet and being
bounded thereon by a Public Road, the said piece parcel or tract

Order 1963.

the Maximum A column of PART I of the Second Schedule to the
Tariff. Act.
3. The Increases of Customs Duties Order 1963 is hereby
revoked in so far as the same applies to bananas.

THE TOWN PLANNING ACT 1961
(No. 40 of 1961)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 4
of the Town Planning Act 1961, the Governor in Council hereby
makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Town Planning Zoning
(No. 2) Order 1963.
2. It is hereby ordered as follows:
(a) Building for residential purposes only will be permit-
ted upon those areas of land marked "A" and "B" as
shown on the plan in the First Schedule to this Order
and upon that area of land marked "C" as shown on
the plan in the Second Schedule to this Order.
(b) Building for the purposes of animal husbandry and
poultry farms only will be permitted upon that area
of land marked "D" as shown on the plan in the
Second Schedule to this Order.
