Islands was appointed to be holden at the City of Nassau on

ing that the said General Assembly having been duly constituted

All motor vehicle licences for 1962 issued in New Providence
and the Out Islands will expire on 31st December, 1962. Under
the Road Traffic Amendment Act 1962 all motor vehicle licences
in future will expire on 31st March each year.
This means that all licences issued with effect from 1st
January, 1963, will be for a period of fifteen months instead of
twelve months and will be valid until 31st March, 1964. The fee
payable to cover this longer period will be that shewn on the
front of the registration book plus one quarter.
In New Providence renewal forms for motor vehicle licences
will be available at all Police Stations, Post Offices and the Road
Traffic Department at Fort Charlotte as from 1st December. Once
again motor owners are urged to take advantage of renewing
their vehicle licences by post and so avoid wasting their valuable
time by queuing at the office. Make sure, however, that your

inspection sticker does not expire before 1st January, 1963.
Driving licences can also be renewed by post provided the
fee and the existing driving licence are sent

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in
X Council by section 9 of the Customs Department Act the follow-
ing Order is hereby made:

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Officers (Over-
time Remuneration) Amendment Order 1962 and shall be read
as one with the Customs Officers (Overtime Remuneration) Order
1962 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
2. The heading of the principal Order is hereby amended
by deleting the figures "27" appearing after the word "Chapter"
in the last line thereof and substituting therefore the figures "22".
3. Paragraph 3 of the principal Order is hereby amended by
inserting between the word "by" and "one" appearing in the
last line thereof the word "no".
4. The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended
as follows:-
(a) by deleting the word "Duty" appearing in the first line
of paragraph 1 in Part I thereof and substituting therefore
the word Deputy";
(b) by deleting the figure and symbols "6/-" wherever they
appear in paragraph 3 in Part II thereof and substituting
therefore the figure and symbols "8/-"; and
(c) by deleting the figure "5" appearing opposite the last
line of sub-paragraph (e) of paragraph 5 in Part III there-

THE WATER AND 'SEWERAGE ACT(.
(Chapter 10)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by seetdon 36
of the Water and Sewerage Act (Ch. 10),. the Publics Boad-~of
Works for New Providence with the approval of the Governor'
in Council hereby make the following Rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Water Supply Amend-
ment Rules 1962 and shall be read as 'bti with the Water Sup-
ply Rules 1953 (hereinafter referred to-as the prinipial Rules).
2. Paragraph (b) of rule 22 of the: principal Rules is hereby
amended by deleting therefrom the figures and symbols "8/-"
and "9/-" and substituting! therefore the figtes afnd symbols' "8/-'
and "10/-" respectively.,









3. These Rules shall come into operation on the 1st day of
January, 1963.
