(Chapter 254)
WHEREAS it appears to His Excellency the Governor in
Council that the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
for a public purpose
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby notified that it is the in-
tention of His Excellency the Governor in Council on behalf of
the Promoters, the Health Board, td acquire the said land for a
public purpose to wit: for the purpose of erecting thereon a Dis-
trict Medical Officer's residence at Deadman's Cay Long Island
ALL persons interested in the said land shall within 30 days
of the publication of this notice state in writing to the Colonial
Secretary of the Colony the nature of their respective interests in
the said land and the amount and particulars of their claim to
compensation for such interests.

IMPORTATION FOR SOME TEMPORARY PURPOSE UNDER
PARAGRAPH 5 OF THE FOURTH SCHEDULE
TO THE TARIFF ACT
To avoid inconvenience and the possibility of paying full
duty on equipment and other articles imported for some tem-
porary purpose under paragraph 5 of the Fourth Schedule to
the Tariff Act, the following requirements, which will be rigidly
enforced are published for your information:-
(a) Application should be made to the Governor in Council
through this Department stating full particulars, the
purpose for which imported and a complete list of
equipment with values.
(b) A written assurance with sufficient corroborating details
that the possibility of local hiring had been unsuccessful.
(c) Applicant must await the decision of the Governor in
Council before importing equipment or articles.
(d) If approval be given applicant must enter into a Bond
as required by the paragraph quoted.
2. Should equipment and articles be imported contrary to
the above requirements, the consignee will be liable for the full
amount of duty based on the C.I.F. Valuation.
3. Eleven copies are required describing the article or
equipment when applying for the importation of goods for
temporary purposes.

OLD AGE PENSIONERS
Old Age Pensioners residing in the vicinity of Wesley School
Room, at the corner of Blue Hill Road and Meadow Street are
advised that pension for the month of June, 1962 will be paid
at the School Room on Monday, 2nd July, Tuesday, 3rd July,
Wednesday, 4th July and Thursday, 5th July, 1962 from 9.00 a.m.
to 1.00 p.m.
2. Pensioners residing in the vicinity of Mackey Street are
advised that pension for the month of June, 1962 will be paid
at St. Felicitas Church on Friday, 6th July, 1962 from 9.00 a.m.
to 1.00 p.m.

3. Pensioners residing in the vicinity of Sandilands are ad-
vised that pension for the month of June, 1962 will be paid at
the Jungle Club, Fox Hill on Saturday, 7th July, 1962 from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 noon.
4. For payments at Wesley School Room, pensioners whose
surnames begin with the letters A E should attend on Monday,
those whose surnames begin with the letters F M on Tuesday,
those whose surnames being with the letters N S on Wednes-
day and those whose surnames begin with the letters T Z on
Thursday.

REGULATIONS
Made Under
THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1956
In exercise of the powers vested in The Bahanmas Electricity
Corporation by Sections 55 and 57 of The Electricity Act 1956,
the Corporation hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electricity Regu-
lations 1962 and shall be read as one with the Electrical Depart-
x ment Rules 1945 hereinafter referred to as the principal Rules.

2. The principal Rules are hereby amended as follows:-
(a) By deleting the heading '"Tarff 'A' Residential" and
all words, figures and symbols appearing under that heading in
Schedule 1 and.,ubstituting therefore:-
"Tariff 'A' Iesidential"
For electricity supplied to premises used for private
residences only the maximum demand of which does not
exceed: 20 KVA:-
(a) For each unit up to 30 units per month 6d., with
a..mipimun charge of 15/- per. month.
