Notice is hereby given that an application for registration
under The Industries Encouragement Act 1951 has been received
from Bacardi and Company Limited who intend to manufacture
rum. The raw materials to be used in the manufacture of the
product consist of molasses, brown sugar, sulphuric acid, ammonia
sulphate, activated carbon, chlorine, calcium and white sugar.
In the early stages of manufacture a rum distillate will be used
until such time as adequate and proper stocks of molasses shall
have been secured. It is proposed to establish such factory in
the Western District of New Providence on land. eastward of

Millar Road and southward of its ,junction with Adelaide Road
near the southern coast of the Island.
2. Any person objecting to the registration of such factory
should give notice in writing of his objection and of the grounds

Act, Chapter 16, are published for general information.

RULES
Made Under
THE RACECOURSE BETTING ACT
(Chapter 16)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 4(12)
of the Racecourse Betting Act the Racing Commission hereby
makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Rules of Racing Amend-
ment Rules 1962 and shall be read as one with the Rules of
Racing 1955 as amended from time to time (hereinafter referred
to as the principal Rules).
2. The principal Rules are hereby amended by adding after
rule 153 thereof the following new rule:
"153A. All monies remaining unpaid on winning pari-
mutuel tickets after April 15th of the year following the
year of their purchase shall be paid into the Public
Treasury in aid of the general revenue."
3. Rule 167 of the principal Rules is hereby amended by
deleting the figures "20" appearing in the second and third lines
thereof and substituting therefore the figures "21".
