sition of Land Act (Ch. 254) is published for general information.

NOTICE OF INTENTION
Given Under
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT, .
(Ch. 254)
WHEREAS it appears to His Excellency the Governor in
Council that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required for a public purpose

NOW THEREFORE it is hereby notified that it is the in-
tention of His Excellency the Governor in Council on behalf of
the Promoters, the Public Board of Works for Mastic Point, An-
dros, to acquire the said land for a public purpose to wit: for
the purpose of constructing a Nurses Home and Clinic at Mastic
Point, Andros

ALL persons interested in the said land shall within 30 days
of the publication of this notice state in writing to the Colonial
Secretary of the Colony the nature of their respective interests in
the said land and the amount and particulars of their claim to
compensation for such interests.

ALL THAT piece parcel or lot of land commencing at a
point situate approximately one half of a mile Southwestward
of the Settlement of North Mastic Point, Andros, and on the
Western side of a Fifty (50) foot wide public road reservation
separating the said piece parcel or lot of land herein described
from Riley Pond and running in a direction of 77' 28' 55" West
of magnetic North for a distance of Two hundred and Fifty-
eight hundredths (200.58) feet and bounded thereon by land the
property of N. and J. Taylor now said to be in the process of
acquisition by the Board of Education thence in a direction of
25" 44' 59" West of magnetic South for a distance of Two hun-
dred (200) feet and being bounded thereon by land said to be
property of the said N. and J. Taylor thence in a direction of 77'
28' 55" East of magnetic South for a distance of Two hundred
(200) feet and being bounded thereon by land said to be the
property of the said N. and J. Taylor thence in a direction of
25 54' 44" East of magnetic North for a distance of Two hun-
dred (200) feet and being bounded thereon by the said Fifty (50)
foot wide public road reservation to the point of commencement
the said piece parcel or lot of land having such position boun-
daries marks shape and dimensions as are shown on the diagram
or plan attached to Secretariat Minute Paper 15863 and delineat-
ed on that part which is coloured Pink on the said diagram. or
plan.

a.m. on Thursday 10th May, 1962.
Carts at Fox Hill at 10.00 a.m. on Friday 11th May,

The Cab Board will not hold any other inspection during this
quarter, and vehicles not licensed at this time will not be

(hereinafter referred to as the Commissioners) were appointed to
inquire into and report upon the general administration and
functioning of the Bahamas Police Force since June 1955 and
allegations that certainindividual members of that Force have
misconducted themselves in the course of their duties.
AND WHEREAS 'by the said Commission Sir John Alun
Pugh ~tAwas named, as President of the Commission.
In ercise ofLthe powers conferred upon the Governiin-
Council by Section 9 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act the
following Order is hereby made:
.1. This Order may be cited as the Commission of.Inquiry
TWtng of-Evidence Order 1962. .
2. It is hereby ordered and directed that the evidence and
statements to be adduced and brought forward before the Com-
missioners shall be given and taken on oath and the President
or Vice-President (if a Vice-President is appointed under the pro-
visions of sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Commissions of In-
quiry Act), shall have power and authority to administer any
oath requiredd to ie 'administered before the Commissioners.

REGULATIONS
Made Under
THE ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1958
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by the Road
Traffic Act 1958 the Road Traffic Authority with the approval of
the Governor in Council hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicle
and Speed Limit Amendment Regulations 1962.
2. Regulation 46A of the Motor Vehicle and Speed Limit
Regulations 1959-1960 is hereby amended by deleting the word
'"ereinafter" appearing- in the second line thereof and sub-
stituting therefore the word "otherwise".









Made by the Road Traffic Authority this 13th day of April,
1962.
