Successful applicants will be entitled to:
(a) Free tuition
(b) The loan of text books
(c) Subsistence allowance of 96 per annum for
students normally resident in New Providence;
160 per annum for students normally resident in
an Out Island.
They will follow a 2-year course leading to the London
G.C.E. Examination in general school subjects, and must under-
take to serve the Board of Education for a minimum period of
3 years at the end of the course.

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Memorial Scholarships Committee invites a'pplicAtions
from students or former students of schools in the Colony for the
award of this Scholarship to begin with the academic year cond-
mencing in October 1961.
The Scholarship, which is tenable at a university or other
institution of higher learning, is worth Six Hundred Pounds per
year and can be held for a period not exceeding seven years.

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP
PLAN
Under the Commonwealth Schd1arship and Fellowdhip Plan
the Government df Geylon offers for world-8 wide competition up
to three Scholarships tenable in Ceylon from the tbeginaini of
the academic year'in Ootdber, 1961.
Scholarships are for two years, but in certain cases one or
three years maybe considered. They are primarily for postgrad-
uate study but may also be held for undergraduate study. Schol-
arships are open to men and women under 35 and preferably
between 22 and 28 years of age. Candidates must be normally
resident in the Bahamas.
