NOTICE OF POSSESSION
Given Under
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT
(Chapter 254)
AND
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND (SPECIAL APPLICATION)
ACT 1957
WHEREAS by Notice No. 188 dated the 20th day of August,
1960, and published in the Official Gazette dated the 20th day of
August, 1960 the Governor in Council declared that it was his
intention to acquire the land described in the Scheduled hereto
AND WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor is of the
opinion that possession of the selected land should be obtained
by the Governor in Council before payment is made to the right-
ful claimants to the property described in the Schedule hereto
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby declared that the selected
land has been appropriated by the Governor in Council for the
purpose mentioned in the said notice with effect from the date
of this Notice.

SCHEDULE
All that parcel or tract of land containing 24 acres, more
or less, situate on the northeast point of land on San Salvador
Island and approximately 10 miles north of Cockburn Town,
more particularly described as follows:
a. Beginning at a Standard brass survey mark set in con-
crete marked "Waldo 1-B" thence azimuth of 3570 24', approxi-
mately 120 feet to a point on the north shore line of the island
thence;
b. Easterly, southerly, and southwesterly along the shore
line to a point on the shore line which bears 870 24' and ap-
proximately 30 feet distant from a concrete monument, thence;
c. Azimuth 2670 24' approximately 30 feet to a concrete
monument, thence;
d. Continuing on azimuth 267 24' approximately 978 feet
to a point, thence;
e. Azimuth 2570 24', approximately 961 feet to the point
of beginning.
Continuing 24 acres, more or less, all as shown on U.S.
Coast Guard Drawing Number 105751 dated 2 December 1955
which is made a part of the description hereof. All azimuths
are referred to true north as 000'.

DEEP CREEK SOUTHERN ANDROS
Tenders are invited from bona-fide contractors for construc-
tion of Nurses' Quarters and Clinic, Deep Creek, Southern Andros.
Plans and specifications can be obtained on deposit of 5
from the office of the Public Works Department during normal
working hours.
Complete tenders should be forwarded in sealed envelopes,
and marked Construction Nurses' Quarters and Clinic, Deep
Creek, Southern Andros, so as to reach the Director of Public
Works by noon on Saturday the 15th October 1960.

Old Age Pensioners residing in the vicinity of the Southern
Recreation Grounds are advised that pension for the month of
September, 1960 will be paid at the British Legion Hall on Blue
Hill Road on Monday the 26th September, 1960, Tuesday the
27th September, 1960, Wednesday the 28th September, 1960 and
Thursday the 29th September, 1960, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
2. Pensioners residing in the vicinity of Mackey Street are
advised that pension for the month of September 1960 will be
paid at Saint Felicitas Church on Friday the 30th September,
1960.
3. Pensioners residing in the vicinity of Sandilands are ad-
vised that their pension for the month of September, 1960 will
be paid at the Jungle Club, Fox Hill on Saturday the 1st October,
1960.

Tuesday, those whose surnames begin with the letters N-S on
Wednesday and those whose surnames begin with the letters

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in
Council by section 7 of the Industrial Schools Act 1960 the
following Order is hereby made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Crawford Culmer Pen-
sion Order 1960.









2. A pension at the rate of Three hundred and Ninety-five
Pounds is hereby granted to Crawford Culmer with effect from
the 10th day of August, 1960.
