WHEREAS it appears to His Excellency the Governor in
Council that the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
for a public purpose:

NOW THEREFORE it is hereby notified that it is the in-
tention of His Excellency the Governor in Council to acquire
the said land for a public purpose to wit: for the purpose of pro-
viding a Long Range Aid to Navigation Station site.
All persons interested in the said land shall within 30 days
of the publication of this notice state in writing to the Colonial
Secretary of the Colony the nature of their respective interests
in the said land and the amount and particulars of their claim
to compensation for such interests.

SCHEDULE
All that parcel or tract of land containing 24 acres, more or
less, situate on the northeast point of land on San Salvador Island
and approximately 10 miles north of Cockburn Town, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
a. Beginning at a Standard brass survey mark set in con-
crete marked "Waldo 1-B" thence azimuth of 3570 24', approx-
imately 120 feet to a point on the north shore line of the island
thence;
b. Easterly, southerly, and southwesterly along the shore
line to a point on the shore line which bears 870 24' and approx-
imately 30 feet distant from a concrete monument, thence;
c. Azimuth 2670 24' approximately 30 feet to a concrete
monument, thence;
d. Continuing on azimuth 2670 24', approximately 978 feet
to a point, thence; -- - -
e. Azimuth 3570 24', approximately 961 feet to the point
of beginning.
Continuing 24 acres, more or less, all as shown on U.S. Coast
Guard Drawing Number 105751 dated 2 December 1955 which
is made a part of the description hereof. All azimuths are re-
ferred to true north as 00 00'.
The foregoing notices numbered 186 to 188 are published by
command.

CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT
Stenographer/Typist- Salary is in the Scale 670 1390
but would not be less than 1000 for a suitably qualified and
experienced person.

LABOUR OFFICE
Assistant Labour Officer- Salary in the range of 1,040 to
1390. Duties are as follows:
(a) Visit to work sites and places of employment to make
inspections and recommendations re provision of Safety,
Health and Welfare.
(b) Preparation of Reports for submission to the Labour
Board.
(c) Other duties assigned by the Labour Department.
A General knowledge of Industrial equipment and mechan-
ical units is essential.
The successful applicant will be required to work from the
Labour Office at Oakes Field under the direct supervision of the
Labour Officer, and will be required to take up duties on 1st No-
vember, 1960.

H.M. PRISON (FOX HILL)
Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (Education Officer) -
The Salary scale is 760 to 1390 and the salary on appoint-
ment would be fixed according to experience and qualifications;
there are other special conditions applicable to Prison Staff.
The duties are to plan and supervise the training and educa-
tion programmes of Prison staff and inmates with special regard
to instruction in suitable trades and crafts. Applicants should
have knowledge of industrial training practices and should pre-
ferably be qualified teachers.
Application forms may be obtained at the Office of the Com-
mission in the House of Myers, Bay Street and Victoria Avenue
and when returned should be accompanied by three recent tes-
timonials from responsible persons.
The final date for receiving applications is 12 noon on Satur-
day, 3rd September, 1960.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
Made Under
THE TUGS ACT
(Chapter 169)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon himby section 6
of the Tugs Act, His Excellency the Governor in Council hereby
makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Tugs and Tenders (Fees)
Amendment Order 1960.

2. The Tugs and Tenders (Fees) Order 1959 is hereby
amended by deleting the figure and symbols "1.10.0" appearing
opposite the words "at Bar Anchorage" in Item 12 of the Schedule
thereto and substituting therefore the figures and symbols "15.0."
Ordered in Council this 20th day of August, 1960.
