the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies that
Her Majesty the Queen will not be advised to exercise Her power
of disallowance with respect to the following Acts of the Legis-
lature of the Bahama Islands:-
No. 7 of 1960 The Public Service Act 1960.
No. 8 of 1960 The Industrial Schools Act 1960.
No. 9 of 1960 The Industrial Schools (Subordinate Officers'
Salaries and Allowances) Act 1960.
No. 11 of 1960 The Prison Department (Subordinate Officers'
Salaries and Allowances) Act 1960.
No. 13 of 1960 The Government High School (Establishment
Emoluments and Conditions of Service) Act 1960.
No. 14 of 1960 The Civil Service Commission Amendment Act
1960.
2. His Excellency directs that the above mentioned Acts
shall come into operation as on and from the 9th June, 1960.

closed to traffic from 3.30 p.m. on this day until the end of the

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Acting Gover-
nor-in-Council by Section 4 of the Pensions Act the following
Order is hereby made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Henry Albert Bowe Pen-
sion Order 1960.

2. A reduced pension at.-the rate of Five Hundred and
Forty-seven Pounds Six Shillings and Three Pence (547. 6. 3)
per annum as from the 8th July, 1960, together with a Gratuity
in the amount of One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty-four
Pounds Seven Shillings and Six Pence (1,824. 7. 6) are hereby
granted to Henry Albert Bowe.

BAHAMAS EXCHANGE CONTROL ORDER 1960 No.'2
AUTHORISED DEALERS
Whereas by Regulation 44 (1) of the Exchange Control Regu-
lations 1956 the expression authorisedd dealer" is defined as
meaning in relation to gold or any foreign currency, a person
for the time being authorised by an order of the Controller to
act for the purpose of these Regulations as an authorised dealer
in relation to gold, or, as the case may be, that foreign currency.
And whereas by virtue of the Exchange Control Regulations Act
(Chap. 333 of the Statute Laws of the Bahama Islands 1957) the
Controller of Exchange is empowered to make such Orders as may
be necessary to implement the Exchange Control Regulations
1956, hereby makes the following Order.
1. The persons specified in the Schedule to this Order are
authorised to act for the purposes of the Exchange Control Reg-
ulations 1956 as authorised dealers in relation to all foreign cur-
rencies.
2. The Bahamas Exchange Control Order 1960 No. 1 is
hereby revoked.
3. This Order shall come into force on the twenty-fifth day
of July nineteen hundred and sixty.
