THE PENSIONS ACT
(Chapter 365)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in
Council by Section 4 of the Pensions Act the following Order is
hereby made:
1. This Order may be cited as the Norman Kerr Pension
Order 1960.
2. A reduced pension at the rate of Two Hundred and Four-
teen Pounds Seven Shillings and Six Pence (214.7.6) per annum
as from the 6th April, 1960, together with a Gratuity in the
amount of Seven Hundred and Fourteen Pounds Eleven Shillings
and Eight Pence (714.11.8) are hereby granted to Norman Kerr.
Ordered in Council this 28th day of May, 1960.

COMMONWEALTH YOUTH SUNDAY, 29TH MAY, 1960
On Sunday, 29th May, 1960, the following traffic arrangements
will be in effect from 4.00 p.m. until after the Ceremony on Clif-
ford Park is over and the Youth Organisations have cleared the
area:
Parking of vehicles is prohibited in the following places:
(a) West Bay Street, from Nassau St. to the Haynes Oval
Entrance.
(b) Nassau Street, from Bay Street to Delancey Street.
(c) On the Road leading from Bay Street to Fort Char-
lotte.

Section 102 of the General Assembly Elections Act 1959, the fol-
lowing Order is hereby made:

1. This Order may be cited as the General Assembly (Re-
vision of Boundaries and Re-distribution of Seats in New
Providence) Order 1960.
2. The twelve seats in the General Assembly in respect of
the Island of New Providence shall be reallocated to the
six election districts named and delineated in accordance
with the provisions of the third paragraph of this Order
and each such election district shall be represented in the
General Assembly by two members.
3. The six election districts in the Island of New Providence
shall be as named and delineated on the maps marked
'A' and 'B' annexed to this Order.
4. The First Schedule to the General Assembly Elections Act
1959 is hereby amended in the manner set out in the First
Schedule to this Order.
5. Part I of the Second Schedule to the General Assembly
Elections Act 1959 is hereby amended in the.manner set
out in the Second Schedule to this Order.
6. This Order shall come into force upon the dissolution of
the General Assembly in being on the date of this Order.

The First Schedule to the General Assembly Elections Act
1959 under the heading "The Island of New Providence" is here-
by amended by deleting the words-
"City District Two members
Southern District Two members
Western District Two members
Eastern District Two members"
and by substituting therefore the following:-
"City District Two members
Southern Central District Two members
Southern District Two members
East Central District Two members
Eastern District Two members
Western District Two members"
SECOND SCHEDULE
Part I of the Second Schedule to the General Assembly Elec-
tions Act, 1959 is hereby amended by deleting therefore the head-
ings "City District", "Southern District", "Western District" and
"Eastern District" and all other words and symbols appearing re-
spectively under each such heading and by substituting therefore
the following headings, symbols and words:-









"CITY DISTRICT
The City District of New Providence shall be all that part of
the Island of New Providence which is enclosed by the following
lines:- starting from the highwater mark at the point crossed by
a continuation of the centre line of the north end of Nassau
Street, southwards along the centre line of Nassau Street to Meet-
ing Street, eastwards along the centre line of Meeting Street to
Baillou Hill Road, northwards along the centre line of Baillou
Hill Road to the unnamed road along the southern boundary of
Government House grounds, eastwards along the centre line of
that road to Market Street, northwards along the centre line of
Market Street to Peck's Slope, northwards up the centre line of
Peck's Slope to East Hill Street, eastwards along the centre line
of East Hill Street to East Street, southwards along the centre
line of East Street to Prison Lane, eastwards along the centre
line of Prison Lane to Kemp's Lane, southwards along the centre
line of Kemp's Lane to North Street, eastwards along the centre
line of North Street to Collins Wall (west), northwards along
Collins Wall (west) to Third Terrace, eastwards along the centre
line of Third Terrace to Collins Wall (east), northwards along
Collins Wall (east) to Moon Hill Street, eastwards along the
centre line of Moon Hill Street to Hawkins Hill, northwards along
the centre line of Hawkins Hill to Shirley Street, eastwards along
the centre line of Shirley Street to Mackey Street, northwards

Street to the end of the west wall of the Mackey Street Abutment,
thence westerly along the high water mark to the point at which
it is crossed by a continuation northwards of the centre line of

SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT
The South Central District of New Providence shall be all
that part of the Island of New Providence which is enclosed by
the following lines:- starting from the junction of the unnamed
road which forms the southern boundary of Government House
grounds with Baillou Hill Road, southwards along the centre line
of Baillou Hill Road to its junction with Laird Street, eastwards
along the centre line of Laird Street to Market Street, southwards
along the centre line of Market Street to Quakoo Street, east-
wards along the centre line of Quakoo Street to East Street, south-
,yards along the centre line of East Street to Toote Shop Corer,
eastwards along the centre line of Toote Shop Corner to Collins
Wall (west), northwards along Collins Wall (west) to North Street,
westwards along the centre line of North Street to Kemp's Lane,
northwards along the centre line of Kemp's Lane to Prison Lane,
westwards along the centre line of Prison Lane to East Street,
northwards along the centre line of East Street to East Hill Street,
westwards along the centre line of East Hill Street to Peck's Slope
(south), southwards along the centre line of Peck's Slope (south) to
Market Street, southwards along the centre line of Market Street









to the unnamed road which forms the southern boundary of Gov-
ernment House grounds, westwards along the centre line of that
road to Baillou Hill Road.
SOUTHERN DISTRICT
The Southern District of New Providence shall be all that
part of the Island of New Providence which is enclosed by the
following lines:- starting from the high water mark at the point
on the south coast crossed by a continuation of the centre line
of South Beach Road, northwards along the centre line of South
Beach Road to Baillou Hill Road, northwards along the centre
line of Baillou Hill Road to Laird Street, eastwards along the
centre line of Laird Street to Market Street, southwards along
the centre line of Market Street to Quakoo Street, eastwards along
the centre line of Quakoo Street to East Street, southwards along
the centre line of East Street to Toote Shop Corner, eastwards
along the centre line of Toote Shop Corner to Collins Wall (west),
southwards along Collins Wall (west) to the south-east corner of
that Wall, eastwards along Collins Wall (south) to Collins Avenue,
southwards along the centre line of Collins Avenue to Wulff Road,
eastwards along the centre line of Wulff Road to Lincoln Boule-
vard, southwards along the centre line of Lincoln Boulevard to
Florida Avenue, westwards along the centre line of Florida
Avenue to East Street South, southwards along the centre line of
East Street South to the high water mark at the point on the
southern coast crossed by a continuation of the centre line of
East Street South, thence westerly along the high water mark to
the point at which it is crossed by a continuation southwards of
the centre line of South Beach Road.
EAST CENTRAL DISTRICT
The East Central District of New Providence shall be all
that part of the Island of New Providence which is enclosed by
the following lines:- starting from the seaward end of the Mackey
Street Abutment, southwards down the west side of the Abut-
ment to Bay Street, across Bay Street to the centre line of Mackey
Street, southwards along the centre line of Mackey Street to
Shirley Street, westwards along the centre line of Shirley Street
to Hawkins Hill, southwards along the centre line of Hawkins Hill
to Moon Hill Street, westwards along the centre line of Moon
Hill Street to Collins Wall (east), southwards along Collins Wall
(east) to Third Terrace, westwards along the centre line of Third
Terrace to Collins Wall (west), southwards along Collins Wall
(west) to the south-west corner of the Wall, eastwards along Col-
lins Wall (south) to Collins Avenue, southwards down the centre
line of Collins Avenue to Wulff Road, eastwards along the centre
line of Wulff Road to Montrose Avenue, northwards along the
centre line of Montrose Avenue to Royal Palm Street, eastwards
along the centre line of Royal Palm Street to Mackey Street,
northwards along the centre line of Mackey Street to Hillside
Estates, eastwards along the centre line of Hillside Estates and
Pyfrom Road to Kemp Road, northwards along the centre line of









Kemp Road to Sutton Street, north-east along the centre line of
Sutton Street and John Evans Road to East Shirley Street, east-
wards along the centre line of East Shirley Street to its junction
with the centre line of East Bay Street, thence north-east to high
water mark, thence northerly and westerly along high water mark
to seaward end of the west wall of the Mackey Street Abutment.
EASTERN DISTRICT
The Eastern District of New Providence shall be all that part
of the Island of New Providence which lies to the southward and
eastward of the following lines:- starting from the high water
mark at the point on the southern coast crossed by the centre
line of East Street South, northwards along the centre line of
East Street South to Florida Avenue, eastwards along the centre
line of Florida Avenue to Lincoln Boulevard, northwards along
the centre line of Lincoln Boulevard to Wulff Road, eastwards
along the centre line of Wulff Road to Montrose Avenue, north-
wards along the centre line of Montrose Avenue to Royal Palm
Street, eastwards along the centre line of Royal Palm Street to
Mackey Street, northwards along the centre line of Mackey Street
to Hillside Estates, eastwards along the centre line of Hillside
Estates and Pyfrom Road to Kemp Road, northwards along the
centre line of Kemp Road to Sutton Street, northeast along the
centre line of Sutton Street and John Evans Road to East Shirley
Street, eastwards along the centre line of East Shirley Street to
its junction with the centre line of East Bay Street, thence north-
east to high water mark, and all cays situated easterly of the City
District within five leagues of any part of the Eastern District.
WESTERN DISTRICT
The Western District of New Providence shall be all that part
of the Island of New Providence which lies to the southward and
westward of the following lines:- starting from the high water
mark on the northern coast-line of the Island at the point crossed
by a continuation northwards of the centre line of Nassau Street,
southwards along the centre line of Nassau Street to Meeting
Street, eastwards along the centre line of Meeting Street to Baillou
Hill Road, southwards along the centre line of Baillou Hill Road
and South Beach Road to the point where the continuation of
the centre line of South Beach Road crosses the high water mark
on the southern coastline of the Island, and all cays situate to the
west of the City District within five leagues of any part of the
Western District."
