NOTICE OF POSSESSION
Given Under
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT
(Chapter 254)
WHEREAS by Notice No. 111 dated the 30th day of April
1960, and published in the Official Gazette dated the 30th day of
April 1960, the Governor in Council declared that it was his in-
tention to acquire on behalf of the Promoters, the Public Board
"of Works for New Providence all that certain tract or parcel of
land described in the Schedule hereto
AND WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor is of the
opinion that it is necessary that possession of the selected land
should be obtained by the Promoters before payment is made to
the rightful claimants to the property described in the Schedule
hereto
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby notified that the selected
land has been appropriated by the Governor in Council for the
purposes mentioned in the said Notice with effect from the date
of this notice.

SCHEDULE
ALL those two parcels or tracts of land situated in the East-
ern District of the Island of New Providence as outlined on a plan
attached to Secretariat Minute Paper No. 15877, which by this
reference is made a part hereof and which said two parcels or
tracts of land are described as follows:
Tract No. 1.
ALL that lot of land containing 12,980 square feet coloured
Red on the said plan and bounded on the North by land the
property of Rowena Edgecombe and running thereon Two hun-
dred (200) feet on the East by the Fox Hill Public Road and run-
ning thereon Sixty-five (65) feet on the South by a road reserva-
tion and running thereon Two hundred (200) feet and on the
West by land the property of Samuel Smith and running thereon
Sixty-five (65) feet.
Tract No. 2.
ALL that lot of land containing 53,130.95 square feet col-
oured Yellow on the said plan and bounded on the North by
land the property of various holders and running thereon Eleven
hundred and forty-five and Ninety-four hundredths (1,145.94)
feet on the East by the Western boundary of a 50 foot road reser-
vation acquired from K. V. Armin on the South by land the prop-
erty of various holders and running thereon Eleven hundred and

fifty-five and Fifty-eight hundredths (1,155.58) feet and on the
West by the Eastern boundary of a 50 foot road reservation ac-
quired from Josiah Rahming.

It is hereby notified for general information that the follow-
ing traffic arrangements have been made in connection with the
bye-election being held in the Eastern and Southern Districts of
New Providence on Friday, 20th May, 1960.
Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.:-
1. School Lane (West of Tribune Office):-
(a)North Bound Traffic only.
(b) Parking is prohibited.
2. Church Street:-
North Bound Traffic only.
3. The two lanes immediately west of Mackey Street, con-
necting Madeira Street and grounds of Eastern Senior
and Junior Schools:
Closed to South Bound Traffic.
4. Wulff Road between Mount Royal Avenue and Centre-
ville Road:-
Parking is prohibited.
5. (a) Kenwood Street between Mount Royal Avenue and
grounds of Southern Senior and Junior Schools:-
West Bound Traffic only.
(b) Hampton Street between Mount Royal Avenue and
grounds to Southern Senior and Junior Schools:-
East Bound Traffic only.
6. Wulff Road between Heastie Alley and Darling's Lane:-
Parking is prohibited.
7. Heastie Alley:-
(a) North Bound Traffic only.
(b) No parking permitted on western side.
8. Darling's Lane:-
(a) South Bound Traffic only.
(b) No parking permitted on western side.
9. Windsor Lane (West) Immediately west of Southern
Primary School No. 1:-
No parking is allowed on Southern Side.

WHEREAS Anthony Ricketts of the City of Nassau in the
Island of New Providence, Attorney for E. Evans Christmas, As-
sistant Secretary of The Royal Trust Company, Montreal, has
made application to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
of the Bahama Islands for letters of Administration with the Will
Annexed of the real and personal estates of Raymond Leslie Har-
vey late of the City of Nassau, Bahama Islands, deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that such application will be heard
by the said Chief Justice at the expiration of fourteen days from
the date hereof.

Council by Section 4 of The Pensions Act, the following Order
is hereby made:-









1. This Order may be cited as the Erskine Wellington Bur-
rows Pension Order, 1960.
2. A Pension at the rate of Two Hundred and Nine Pounds
Seven Shillings and Six Pence (209.7.6.) per annum is hereby
granted to Erskine Wellington Burrows as from the 1st April,
1960.

rows Pension Order (No. 2), 1960.
2. A pension at the rate of One Hundred and Eighty-seven
Pounds and Ten Shillings (187.10.0) per annum is hereby grant-
ed to Erskine Wellington Burrows as from the 1st April, 1960.
