Applications are invited for the post of POSTMASTER OF
THE BAHAMAS, which will become vacant in the Autumn of
1960.
Applications by personal letter containing full particulars of
the candidate should be forwarded to the Civil Service Commis-
sion without delay. The closing date for applications will be
announced later.
The applicant must have held a senior responsible position
in an administrative organization such as a Government Depart-
ment, or in Commerce, Finance or Industry, and must have the
necessary personality and ability to organise and exercise con-
trol over the entire Post Office system. He will be responsible for
the efficiency of all postal services, including Parcel Post, through-
out the Bahamas.

The Middle Bight light has been re-established on Little
Goulding Cay. The light flashes white twelve times each minute,
height of focal plane above mean sea level is 24 feet, visibility
on clear nights not less than six nautical miles.

Made Under
THE PILOTAGE ACT
(Chapter 157)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section
45 of the Pilotage Act the Board of Pilotage for New Providence
with the approval of the Governor in Council hereby make the
following Rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Pilotage Amendment
Rules, 1960.

2. The Pilotage Rules 1952 are hereby amended by deleting
sub-rule (2) of rule 44 thereof and substituting therefore the fol-
lowing:
"(2) As soon as it appears that any tropical disturbance
is likely to pass over some portion of the Bahama
Islands, a second storm flag, which shall also be
red with a square black centre, shall be hoisted
under the first storm flag."
Made by the Pilotage Board for New Providence this 6th day
of April, 1960.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1958
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by the Road
Traffic Act the Road Traffic Authority with the approval of the
Governor in Council hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic
Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1960.
2. Schedule A of the Road Traffic Regulations 1959 is hereby
amended-
(a) by inserting under paragraph (c) thereof the following:
"From Colebrook Lane to Victoria
Avenue from the hours of 8:00 a.m.
to 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30
p.m. Both Sides
From Victoria Avenue to Elizabeth
Avenue between the hours of 8:00
a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on week-days
only. Both Sides
From 50 feet East to 50 feet West of
the junction with Armstrong Street
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
5.00 p.m. on week-days only. Both Sides";








(b) by inserting under paragraph (m) thereof the following:
"From Burnside Lane to Victoria
Avenue. Both Sides"
