CANADIAN COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP
AND FELLOWSHIP PLAN
Under the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellow-
ship Plan, the Dominion of Canada offers for immediate com-
petition up to 100 scholarships tenable in the Canadian Univer-
sities for the academic year 1960/61. The Bahamas have been
allowed a small number of these scholarships.
Scholarships are for two years. They are primarily for post-
graduate study, but may be held for undergraduate study for a
second degree. Scholarships are open to men and women under
35 years. Candidates must be normally resident in the Bahamas.
Further information may be obtained from the undersigned
with whom a personal interview should be arranged by telephone
(2878). No enquiries by post, except from Out Islands will be
considered. Applications will close on the 30th January 1960.

shall be deemed to have occurred in the General Assembly in
respect of the Southern District and the Eastern District of the

THE ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, 1958.
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Chief Justice
by Rule 41 of the Supreme Court Act (Ch. 54) and Section 89
of the Road Traffic Act, 1958, the following Rules are hereby
made:-
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Supreme
Court Appeals) Rules, 1960.
2. Subject to the provisions of Section 89 of the Road
Traffic Act, 1958, relating to the period of fourteen days within
which notice of appeal shall be given, the provisions of the Mag-
istrates Act (Ch. 64) relating to appeals shall apply mutatis mutan-
dis to appeals from the decision of the Authority as if the decision
was that of a magistrate.

(Chapter 239)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section
4(11) of the Agricultural and Marine Products Board Act (Ch. 239)
the Agricultural and Marine Products Board with the approval
of the Governor in Council hereby make the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Marine Products (Fish-
eries) Amendment (No. 4) Rules, 1959.

2. Rule 18 of the Marine Products (Fisheries) Rules, 1954
is hereby amended as follows:
(a) by deleting the fullstop at the end thereof and substitut-
ing therefore a colbn; and
(b) by adding thereafter the following proviso:
"Provided that this rule shall not apply to apy conch shell
which is proved by the exporter, to the satisfaction of
the Board, to have been gathered before the 1st day of
November, 1958".
