The public Board of Works draws the attention of people
requiring the use of public parks and grounds for political or any
other purposes, to the necessity of making proper application for
the use of such grounds or parks. Application must be made
for each individual requirement at least one week before the

Band will "Beat Retreat" on that portion of Bay Street, between
East and Parliament Streets.
For this purpose, Bay Street between East Street and Par-
liament Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:35 p.m.
until after the ceremony. During this period, that portion of
Shirley Street between East Street and Parliament Street will be
open to two way traffic.
Parliament Street will be open to North bound traffic and
East Street between Bay Street and Shirley Street will be open
to South bound traffic. East Street Slip will be open to North
and South bound traffic. No parking will be allowed on:

THE PENSIONS ACT
(Chapter 365)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in
Council by Section 4 of The Pensions Act the following Order is
hereby made:-








1. This Order may be cited as the Raymond Harcourt Cul-
mer Pension Order, 1959.
2. A reduced Pension at the rate of Five Hundred and
Seventy-eight Pounds Four Shillings and Six Pence (578-4-6)
per annum as from the 12th November, 1959, together with a
Gratuity in the amount of One Thousand Nine Hundred and
Twenty-seven Pounds Eight Shillings and Six Pence (1927-8-6)
are hereby granted to Raymond Harcourt Culmer.
Ordered in Council this 14th day of November, 1959.

Made Under
THE EXCHANGE CONTROL REGULATIONS 1956
In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Regulations
21 and 31 of the Exchange Control Regulations 1956, the Con-
troller of Exchange hereby orders as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Bahamas Exchange Con-
trol (No. 6) Order 1956 (Import and Export) Amendment Order
(No. 2) 1959.
2. The Bahamas Exchange Control (No. 6) Order 1956 (Im-
port and Export) dated the 22nd day of September, 1956, (as
amended by the Bahamas Exchange Control (No. 6) Amendment
Order 1959, dated the 2nd day of May, 1959) is hereby amended
as follows:
(i) by deleting from sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 2 the
words, symbol and figures "not exceeding 10 sterling
in value", and adding a full stop after the word "ap-
plies", and
(ii) by deleting from sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 3 the
symbol and figures "20" wherever they appear and
substituting therefore the symbol and figures "50".
