MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Memorial Scholarships Committee invites applications
from students or former students of schools in the Colony for the
award of this Memorial Scholarship to begin with the academic
year commencing in October 1960.
The Scholarship, which is tenable at a university or other in-
stitution of higher learning, is worth Six Hundred Pounds per
year and can be held for a period not exceeding seven years.
Applications should be made on the form obtainable from
the Secretary of the Memorial Scholarships Committee, the Rev.
R. P. Dyer, P. O. Box 1350, Nassau, and should be submitted to

tions Department as follows:-
15 girls for training as Long Distance operators and 6 girls
for training as Telegraph Traffic Operators.
Prospective candidates must
(a) Know the location of all countries and principal cities and
towns of the world.
(d) Be able to convert dollars, francs and pounds to any of the

(b) delivery of telegrams by telephone.

Made Under
THE LIQUOR LICENCES ACT
(Ch. 322)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section
36 of the Liquor Licences Act the Licensing Authority with the
approval of the Governor in Council hereby make the follow-
ing Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Liquor Licences (Amend-
ment) Rules, 1959.

2. The Liquor Licence Rules 1939 are hereby amended by
adding after rule 26 thereof the following:
"27. The forms prescribed in the Schedule hereto
may be so varied as to make them applicable to any place
within the Colony."
Made by the Licensing Authority in New Providence this

Pension Order 1959.
2. A pension at the rate of One Hundred and Forty One
Pounds Eighteen Shillings and Eleven Pence (141-18-11) per
annum is hereby granted to Dr. Leon Achmatowicz as from the
12th day of October, 1959.
