Advertisements have recently appeared in the local press
making extravagant claims about areas of land for sale to the
Public. Prospective purchasers of such lands are advised by
the Board to seek the advice of the Director of Public Works
and the Town Planning Officer before purchasing so that they
can satisfy themselves as to the existence or future provision
of roads, water and electricity and confirm that building permits
can be issued for the type of Development they have in mind.

OBSTRUCTION AND ENCROACHMENT INTO
PUBLIC ROADS
The Public is informed that the Board of Works will
not undertake, or be responsible for the pruning back or removal
of bushes, vines, shrubs or similar growth originating inside pri-
vate property, and now extending into and over the Public roads,
sidewalks, footpaths, etc.
The pruning or cutting back, into line with the property
shall be performed by the owner or responsible person concerned.
No rubbish or debris may be left in the public road.
The Board draws particular attention to the heavy growth
of bushes and vines mainly thorny bougainvilleas extending for
several feet into the roadways and over sidewalks to the incon-
venience and danger of persons and traffic.
The Public are asked to have the required pruning perform-
ed and cleared not later than August 13th, 1959.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
Made Under
THE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT (Ch. 44)
WHEREAS by section 11(2) of The Dangerous Drugs Act,
power is conferred upon His Excellency the Governor in Council
to declare by Order in Council that Part IV of that Act shall ap-
ply to any drug of whatever kind in the same manner as it
applies to the drugs mentioned in section 11(1) of the said Act
X if it appears to him that the drug is, or is likely to be productive,

if improperly used, of ill effects substantially of the same char-
acter or nature as or analagous to those produced by morphine
or cocaine:
AND WHEREAS as provided by section 27 of the said Act
His Excellency the Governor in Council has been instructed by
the Secretary of State that, by a Resolution adopted by the Eco-
nomic and Social Council of the United Nations, Normethadone
has been declared to be productive, if improperly used, of ill
effects substantially of the same character or nature as or an-
alagous to those produced by morphine or cocaine:
NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the powers. conferred
upon him by sections 11(2) and 27 of the Dangerous Drugs Act,
His' Excellency the Governor in Council hereby makes the fol-
lowing Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as The Dangerous Drugs Act
(Applicationr) Order, 1959.
2. Part IV of the Dangerous Drugs Act, shall henceforth
apply to Normethadone.

THE EXCHANGE CONTROL REGULATIONS ACT
Chapter 333
In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 2
of the Exchange Control Regulations Act, His Excellency the
Governor in Council hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Exchange Con-
trol Amendment (No. 2) Regulations, 1959, and shall be read as
one with the Exchange Control Regulations, 1956.
2. The First Schedule to the Exchange Control Regulations,
1956 is hereby amended as follows:
(a) by deleting therefrom the figure and word "7.Iraq" and
;(b) by renumbering items 8, 9, 10 and 11 as 7, 8, 9 and 10
respectively.

1959.
