approved of the grant of the Colonial Prison Service Medal to
Mr. Arthur Hubert Duncombe, Assistant Turnkey in recognition
of his 18 years exemplary service.
2. His Excellency has also approved of the award of a second
Clasp to Mr. Joseph Edward Wells, Turnkey, for having com-
pleted 30 years exemplary service.

The Commissioner of Police does not bind himself to accept
the highest or any tender.
A condition of the sale will be that the person whose tender
is accepted will be required to pay into the Public Treasury the

ters within 48 hours.

BOARD OF EDUCATION CONTINUATION CLASSES
IN
DOMESTIC SCIENCE
SOUTHERN SENIOR SCHOOL
On Monday 6th April, 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., the School Cer-
tificate Classes in Needlework and Cookery were re-opened. The
Courses are:-
(i) Mondays School Certificate Needlework:
Children's garments and underwear.
(ii) Wednesdays School Certificate Cookery:
Mixed Courses: Pastries, Short Cuts, Flaky
Pastries, Cake-Making;
Supper dishes.
Intending students should enrol at the Southern Senior
School.
The Second Annual Housewives Clinic will be held in the
Domestic Science Department of the Southern Senior School on
Wednesday, beginning Wednesday April 22nd at 6.00 p.m.
Demonstrations will include:-
(a) Formal and informal Dinners and Luncheons;
(b) Buffet parties;
(c) Brunches (mid-morning parties); Bridge, Shower and
stag parties and formal cocktail sips;
(d) Table laying for the above topics.
The fourth evening will consist of open discussions on the
home.
These courses are open to all interested persons. Intending
students should enrol at the Southern Senior School on Wednes-
day, April 22nd, at 6.00 p.m., the date of the first meeting of the
Housewives Clinic.

CAPTURE OF CRAWFISH
The following excerpts from the Marine Products (Fisheries)
Amendment No. 3 Rules 1957 relating to the capture of crawfish
are published for general information:-
(a) During the period from and including the 16th March to
the 30th June in any year no person shall fish for, take,
capture, destroy or kill, or have in his possession any live
or fresh crawfish.
(b) During the period from the 1st July to the 30th Sep-
tember in any year it shall be lawful for any person to
capture not more than six crawfish at any one time for
use as fresh food or bait within the Colony but no
vessel shall have on board at any one time, to be used
as fresh food or bait, more than six crawfish for each
member of the crew on board such vessel.
The 1st October of one year to the 15th March of the follow-
ing year is the open season for the capture of crawfish.
Any person guilty of an offence under the above Rules shall
be liable on summary conviction to a penalty of Fifty pounds.
