The following Government Notice is published as a Supple-
ment to this Gazette:-

THE PLANTS PROTECTION ACT
CH. 228.
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 5 of The Plants
Protection Act and in exercise of the powers thereby conferred
the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Board of
Agriculture doth hereby order and ordain and it is hereby ordered
and ordained that the importation from the following countries:
AZORES
BERMUDA
BRAZIL
CHILE
COLOMBIA
COSTA RICA
CUBA including the Isle of Pines
DOMINICA

of all varieties of citrus fruits, mangos, avocados, fresh vegetables
and all fruits with soft pericarp (excluding bananas and plantains)
is hereby absolutely prohibited.
The Proclamation issued under the provisions of the above
Act on the 8th day of July, 1954 is hereby cancelled.
This Proclamation shall remain in force until varied or re-
voked by a subsequent Proclamation.
GIVEN under my hand and the Public
Seal of the said Islands at Government
House in the City of Nassau in the
Island of New Providence this twenty-
eighth day of May, 1956 and in the
Fifth year of Her Majesty's Reign.
