Governor-in-Council in each case.

NOTICE
The Public Board of Works invite tenders for the purchase
of the stucco building situated on the Eastern side of Mackey
St. formerly the residence of Jos. Frank Hanna Esq. including
all electrical fixtures.
The successful tenderer will be required to remove the
building and its foundations to ground level and clean up the
site to the satisfaction of the Board within 30 days of the accept-
ance of the tender.
The building may be inspected at any time between the
hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon on week days by arrangement with
the Clerk to the Board of Works, Nassau Court.
Tenders should be in sealed envelopes marked "Tender for
Purchase of Building", and must be submitted not later than noon
Af Tuesday, February 28th, 1956.
The Board reserves the right to refuse all or any tender.

1939 (Ch. 26 of 1939) is published for general information.

THE TARIFF ACT 1939
(Ch. 26 of 1939)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor in
Council by section 9 (1) of the Tariff Act 1939 the following Order
is hereby made:










1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties (Whole
Tomatoes and Tomato Paste) Order, 1956.
2. The duties of Customs on whole tomatoes and tomato
paste shall be increased to the maximum as set out in the maxi-
mum column of Part I of the Second Schedule to the Tariff
Act 1939.
Ordered in Council this 7th day of February, 1956.

RULES
Made Under
THE PRISONS ACT
(No. 22 of 1943)
Under the authority of the Prisons Act (No. 22 of 1943) and
subject to the provisions of the Imperial Act (1 & 2 Vic. Ch. 67)
the following Rules are hereby made by the Governor in Council:
1. These Rules may be cited as The Prisons Amendment
Rules 1956.
2. Rule 91 of The Prisons Rules 1952 is repealed and re-
placed as follows:
"91. If a prisoner shall introduce or attempt to in-
troduce into the prison, or convey or attempt to convey
to any other prisoner any tobacco in excess of the weekly
ration as prescribed by the Committee from time to time,
spiritous liquor, letter or other forbidden article, he shall
be liable to punishment by the Chairman in conjunction
with one or more members of the Committee by solitary
confinement in a punishment cell with punishment diet
for a period not exceeding 28 days. In the case of a
prisoner sentenced to hard labour punishment diet shall
not be imposed without the reduction of such labour or
without the concurrence of the medical officer."
