Made Under
THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT 1947
(No. 18 of 1947)
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Telecommunica-
tions Board by Section 29 (1) of the Telecommunications Act
1947, the following Rules are with the approval of the Governor-
in-Council hereby made:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Telecommunications
(Amendment) Rules 1955.
2. The Telecommunications Rules 1948 are hereby amended
as follows:
(i) by deleting Part IX thereof and substituting therefore
the following:

"PART IX
RULES CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF WIRED MUSIC
ON THE ISLAND OF NEW PROVIDENCE
152. Any person who desires .to be supplied by the Board
with Wired Music Service shall make application therefore in the
form G in the Schedule to these Rules.
153. (i) The Director shall maintain a central station sup-
plying continuous music for a minimum of fifteen hours a day.
(ii) The Subscriber shall- supply and maintain his own re-
ceiving apparatus which would consist of an amplifier, any num-
ber of loudspeakers he may desire and a switch.
154. A Contractor desiring to undertake the wiring of build-
ings for installation of Wired Music service shall obtain from the
Director -a licence which the Director. is hereby empowered to
issue and shall be on such terms and subject to such conditions
mutatis mutandis as are contained in Rules 9 to 14 of Part One
of these Rules.
155. No person, whether a subscriber or not, shall install or
cause to be -installed in any premises loudspeakers additional to
those provided for in the agreement for the supply of the Wired
Music Service without giving notice in writing to the Director.
156. Rules 4, 5, 6, 7, 15, 16, 17, 18(2), 20, 21 and 22 of Part
One of these Rules and any amendments thereto shall apply mu-
tatis mutandis to the Wired Music Service supplied by the Board.
157. The charges for service shall be:-
For each installation with two loudspeakers or less
per month 4 0 0
For each extra loudspeaker over two per month 10 0"
(ii) by adding thereto the following:

158. Any person who acts in contravention of or fails to comply
with any of the provisions of these IRules shall be guilty of an
offence and shall be liable to a fine of 20."

AGREEMENT
Tne Telecommunications Board agree to supply Wired Music
Service in accordance with the application overleaf, and with the
Rules in force to ............ ........ (hereinafter called the
applicant) and the applicant agrees:
(1) To be a subscriber for not less than one year from the
date of connection to the Wired Music Service operated by the
Telecommunications Department.
(2) To pay the charges made by the Department for connec-
tion to the Service and a subscription fee of 4. 0. 0 per month
lor an installation consisting of one amplifier and two loudspeak-
ers plus an additional fee of 10/- per month for each loudspeaker
over and above the two aforementioned.
(3) To accept all bills and invoices relevent to this service
sent by the Department and to pay any such bill within 21 days
from the date of issue.
Provided always that this Agreement may be terminated at
the request of the applicant at any time within the year
upon payment to the Department of any balance of the annual
fixed charges.

tories Act (Ch. 227) is published for general information.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
Made Under
THE MANUFACTORIES ACT
(CH. 227)
WHEREAS by section 2 (2) of the Manufactories Act the
Governor in Council may from time to time by Order in Council
specially declare that any agricultural or marine product may be
manufactured, preserved, packed or otherwise prepared for sale
or export fo such limited time as may be mentioned in such Order.
AND WHEREAS Heveatex (Plantations) Limited has been
registered to operate at Marsh Harbour, Abaco, under the pro-
visicnq of the Manufactories Act.









AND WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor in Council
deems it necessary to declare that fruit and vegetable produce be
agricultural products in accordance with the provisions of the
Manufactories Act.
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby ordered and declared that
fruit and vegetable produce be agricultural products in accordance
with the provisions of the Manufactories Act which may be pack-
ed, preserved or otherwise prepared for sale or export in the
factory of Heveatex (Plantations) Limited for a period of one
year from the 1st day of December, 1955.
