The following Government Notice is published as a Supple-
ment to this Gazette:-

No. 176-The Agricultural and Marine Products Board (Sponge)

Islands, Vice Admiral of the
same.
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by The Maintenance Order Facilities for Enforce-
ment Act, provision has been made for the enforcement in this
Colony of Maintenace Orders made by a Court in England and
Ireland
AND WHEREAS by the said Act it is amongst other things
provided that where the Governor is satisfied that reciprocal
provisions have been made by the Legislature of any British
Possession or any Territory under Her Majesty's protection for the
-enforcement within such Possession or Territory of maintenance
orders made by Courts of this Colony, the Governor may be
Proclamation extend the said Act to maintenance orders made
by Courts within such Possession or Territory and thereupon the
said Act shall apply to such maintenance orders as if they had
been made in England or Ireland.
AND WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that the Legis-
latures of the British Possessions hereinafter mentioned have
made reciprocal provisions for the enforcement within those
Possessions of maintenance orders made by Courts within this
Colony
NOW THEREFORE, the Governor by virtue and in exercise
of the powers by the, above recited Act in the Governor vested is
pleased to proclaim and doth hereby proclaim as follows:

The Maintenance Orders Facilities for Enforcement Act shall
apply to the British Possessions hereunder mentioned:
Jersey in the Channel Islands
Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

ember A.D. 1955, and in the Fourth year

NOTICE OF INTENTION
Given Under
THE ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT
Chapter 265.
WHEREAS it appears to His Excellency the Governor in
Council that the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
for a public purpose
NOW THEREFORE IT is hereby notified that it is the inten-
tion of His Excellency the Governor in Council to acquire the
said land for a public purpose, to wit: new Burial Ground.
All persons interested in the said land shall within 30 days of
the Cclonial Secretary of the Colony the nature of their respective
interests in the said land and the amount and particulars of their
claim to compensation for such interests.

EASTERN DISTRICT
Tenders are requested for the reconstruction of a portion of
Soldier Road beginning from Wulff Road and ending at the junc-
tion of Nassau Village Road.
Specifications may be procured from the Clerk. Public Board
of Works during the usual office hours.
Sealed tenders marked "Soldier Road" to be submitted not
later than noon Wednesday the 16th. November 1955. The Public
Board, of Works reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
tenders.

Made Under
THE AGRICULTURAL AND MARINE PRODUCTS BOARD ACT
(Ch. 223).
In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 4
of The Agricultural and Marine Products Board Act (Ch. 223),
the Eoard with the approval of the Governor-in-Council, hereby
makes the following Rules:-
1. These Rules may be cited as The Agricultural and Marine
Products Board (Sponge) (Amendment) Rules 1955.

2. Rules 5 of the Agricultural and Marine Products Board
(Sponge) Rules 1937 is hereby deleted and the following sub-
stitu.rtd therefore:
"5. (1) No person other than a person to whom the Board
has granted written permission so to do for scientific
purposes or for the purposes of stocking or breeding at
any place in the Colony shall:
(i) fish or gather any sponge, or
(ii) wash or cure any sponge or construct any crawl, or
use any crawl already constructed, for washing or
curing any sponge.
Provided that it hall be lawful for the Board with the
approval of the Governor-in-Council by notice published
in the Official Gazette to suspend the provisions of this
Rule for any period and in respect of any or all sponge
beds within the waters of the Colony.
(2) Any person who commits a breach of this Rule shall
be liable on summary conviction to a fine of one hund-
red pounds."
